Yay Thursday...

Have no clue when I'll do my last-minute shopping. Have no clue what to give my college-age niece. Have no clue if I even have enough wrapping supplies. Have no clue when I'll have time to take a wrapping supplies inventory... Yikes!... Where can I buy a clue?

For personal reasons, holidays are very depressing lately. This Christmas will be even more painful. So stress on top of sadness makes me wanna curl up in a warm blanket by the fire listening to Christmas music and avoid the whole thing.

Bundles, I don't know what you're going through but a personal loss around this time of year not too long ago makes the holidays more than a bit difficult for me too. My heart goes out to you and, whatever you're going through, take good care of yourself and know you have our support if you need it.

And, "Where can I buy a clue?" LOL, you had me in stitches!

Bundles, I don't know what you're going through but a personal loss around this time of year not too long ago makes the holidays more than a bit difficult for me too. My heart goes out to you and, whatever you're going through, take good care of yourself and know you have our support if you need it.

Thank you Annette, and others. I surprised myself by writing that. (anonymity of the net?)... My situation is similar, but a slower loss.

It's one sign of growing up I think: Being able to cope with holidays changing over the years, little by little -- OR suddenly/drastically.

Don't worry ladies, I'm bitter and cynical too. Unfortunately tho, I don't have a good reason :-/. As a general rule I can only take most people in small doses, and they tend to be especially annoying during this time of year. I'm like an old man the sits on his porch bellowing incoherent nothings @ anyone who passes by.

Well it's been an interesting day. The weather started out half way decent and then turned yucky. Rain. Then snow and really windy. Even lost the internet off and on. The whole thing wore me out!!!

Finally home from a 9 hour day of shopping at the Mall of America. My feet hurt, my back hurts, and my head hurts .... The Mall of America is like a cyclone of overwhelming stimulation and I end up walking in miles of circles, like a zombie, unable to figure out what to buy for anyone. Why I let my daughter's talk me into going every year is beyond me. I did manage to buy 3 gifts before my brain shut down, so off to the mini-mall tomorrow where the options are limited and finding a shirt becomes simple.
