Larkfour Thank you so much that was beautiful. Made me cry but also put a smile on my face that you would do that.

LouP I'm so sorry that your son was beat up. That is just uncalled for. I can not believe what this world is coming to. Please tell him he is in my prayers and you too to help you through this. Thank you V8 and back atcha.
Sorry to bring a downer to the thread.
On a happier note, someone brought me two pints of glorious, ripe red and juicy strawberries today and I'm just sitting here cleaning them trying to decide what to make with them. That is IF I don't eat them all first!

I just froze a bunch for the winter to eat on my cereal and in my yogurt and thinking about getting more. Cause I love my fruit. Did BB and watermelon, honeydew, plums, mangos, apples and of course the strawberries.

So anyway Good Night have a good night sleep!!

Strawberry Granita!

Also sorry to hear about your son. Throw the book at 'em. Make 'em pay. Get him a nice cheque of money to buy a car or for college or something.

Something similiar happend to my brother when we were younger. And he is a good fighter too but he was jumped by two guys when he and his future wife were coming home from a bar kinda drunk. They beat him pretty bad and slapped her to the ground. But instead of retaliate he dragged the guy through court and got a nice fat cheque out of it of which he put toward a house. They pay for it more when they have to shell it out themselves, every week from their wages. Don't wanna bum you out more though! How old is he?

I'm sorry I can't like this!! I feel so sorry for you all that are going through this. I couldn't handle it.

Well we're like 3 hrs from Mexico so we get all this tropical weather. The good news is thunderstorm season starts this month which is a mix between insanely hot pressure until the skies burst and the heavens reward us. I personally wouldnt object to two winters in a row this year.

Awww thanks Ty! TGIF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sitting here just not understanding why people do such things, LouP. I just. don't. get. it. :( I hope your boy gets well soon! (((hugs)))

Here's hoping the day flies by for all of us! :)

kitty jr is being a total WILD man this morning! Maybe he knows it's Friday, too! I'm looking forward to being home with him all day tomorrow. I still feel bad when I leave him alone M-F. I know cats are existential and supposedly don't have a concept of time...but I do! I know he lounges on the back of the recliner all day, watching kitty tv through the picture window (except for when he sees something on the Olympics and goes batting at the screen trying to catch them) :) And judging from the condition of the living room when I get home, he's also getting plenty of play time. I still don't like leaving him! When I go outside to check the mail, I can hear him inside mewing his little heart out and it just KILLS me!

Aaaand, I'll be going to visit this little chunk of love on Sunday. My great-niece Kathryn, 6 mos old:

Thank you All for your kind support.

Kitty - That is one gorgeous, chubby "chunk of love"! I can almost smell that wonderful baby smell and hear the chuckles! Thanks for sharing.

V8 - I didn't know you could successfully freeze melons. I've only ever done berries. If I get some fruit together will you share your methods? I hate to waste it.

This is a long weekend for us in the north and a million people will be just down the street from me partying at the Caribbean Festival. Steel drums will be ringing in our ears well into next week! I'm going to eat as much jerk chicken as I can!

Have a good one!
