Good news:
AHHHHHHH...Having first ever Vaper session on a new Joye eGo twist (650), with a Kanger T3 and loaded with some fire cured Virginia tobacco juice.
Life is good.

Bad news:
Bought from MyVaporStore, (ordered on Thursday late, got today, Yeah) but they sent the wrong rapid charger. Says Do Not Use on a Joye 510. Well crap

Need help. I have a USB charger off a Fin, rated at 150mAh, 4.6v. 2 hour charge time.
Can I use this?

Just want to throw out a big THANK YOU to every one who has and is making this such a great forum. Would not be here today looking forward to getting rid of analogs.

The tech specs on most fast chargers for eGo batteries should read as follows:

Input: DC 5V, 500mA
Output: DC 4.2V, 150mA

eGo devices are 3.7V batteries that are not meant to be charged at anything over 4.2V. Check the specs on the fast charger MyVaporStore sent you - the warning most likely applies to the Joyetech 510 mini e-cig.

You got the right charger - you can use the same charger for all eGo style batteries: eGo-T, eGo-C, eGo-C Twist, etc.

Don't worry about the LED on the charger blinking green every now and then - it's just checking the charge level of the battery. Wait until the LED's solid green before you take the battery off the charger. Oh, and don't leave it charging overnight - you should always try to remove the battery as soon as it's fully charged. A fully depleted 650mAh Twist will take about 2.5 hours to charge.

Hi Bman. The above info is consistent with standard established safety standards . The charger should be rated between 350mAh to 500mAh for use on a battery of 650mAh capacity. The higher the rated output, the faster the battery will go from depleted to charged. Any charger above 150mAh should not be used on standard 510(mini/slim) models. Most of those form factor are rated as 180mAh to 380mAh.

The general rule of thumb is to not have the charger rated at more than 85% of the batteries capacity(in mAh).....

Iusedtoanalog. Thanks for the info, but I am confused. The Joye eGo-c Twist is considered a 510 device, but is not the same as a 510/510-T?

Yes the eGo uses 510 threading(the inner thread) but in reference to the warning accompanying your charger I am confident that it refers to the stick type 510 batteries. The eGo class of batteries refers to almost any number of batteries that are larger capacity than 450mAh And the eGo outer threading (formerly referred to as cone threading) as well as a diameter of 14mm (approximately) and larger in some cases.

As long as your charger does not exceed the mAh rating of the battery attached to it you should have very little to fret about.
