Hi all:

I just joined this forum earlier this week. What a great source of info.! I'm really glad to have found this place.

The good news is that I started using e-cigs in January and have not had an analog since my first vape. I feel great about that.

The bad news (which I have learned from the forum) is that I got pretty well ripped off with the e-cigs that I started with. Oh well - I'm probably not much worse off $$-wise than if I had smoked analogs for the past 4 months. And I'm much healthier.

For the next phase of my e-cig journey I hope to minimize the impact of the uninformed purchases I have made by finding a supplier from whom I can get reasonably priced hardware compatable with what I already have and some juice. Then once I have made it a little further throught the life of my existing hardware, I look forward to trying out some of the e-cigs that sound so popular on this forum.

Does anyone have a recomendation for a supplier who may be able to advise me on what atty's, re-chargers, etc. would be compatable with some of the lesser brand batteries that I have?

Thanks for your help!

Hi davelog:

Thanks for the reply! I actually have 3 brands:

-------GreenNicotine - I have two working batteries and a working charger. I didn't really like their cartomizers and they were quite expensive. They don't sell an atomizer. I believe they would take a KR808D-1 atomizer.

-------SmokeFreeOnline - I have two working batteries, but my charger is broken and the atomizer that came with the kit is burned out. They charge $35 for a charger and $55 for an atomizer. I have not been able to figure out what would be compatible with those batteries.

-------nJoy nPro - I got these at a local 7-11 and everything works. But they don't sell an atomizer on their site (or at the 7-11) and I would like to drip (to save a few $$'s). I think that an RM4081 atomizer would work with these batteries.

If you know of a supplier who I could run some of this by, let me know. I know I should probably just suck it up and buy a more reputable brand. And the vapor would probably be better. But ignorance is bliss for now. And I'd love to get a little more mileage out of this investment (even though it was a mistake).

Thanks!

Hey Dupont, Welcome to the forum! You might want to consider just starting fresh and getting yourself a Riva or an eGo kit. The batteries on both of those last 4-5 hours of heavy vaping. You can get a good deal on both at Liberty Flight, I think the Riva is under $40 and comes with 2 atomizers. I've found that my joy 510 atomizers last me the longest (this is all personal oppinion mind you) and I get those at EV. Good Luck

Don't think of it as a mistake - just part of the process of finding the ideal pv for yourself. Hopefully now that you have some brands listed someone will be able to point you at cheaper replacement parts for them, or (more likely and better all-around) a cheaper but higher-quality (and size standardized) replacement system.

You'd probably be saving money by investing in a better setup than nursing along what you've had up to this point.

Thanks Fool - I know that's good advice. And it's what I will do in the end. But I've learned so much in the past few days (reading this forum) that I kinda want to hold off and play out what I've got for a while (and learn more). Who knows, maybe "mods" (hadn't heard of them before) or "pass-thru's" (them either) are right for me....

the njoy is a rn4081. i bought an atomizer for it and it gives a great vape. unfortunately i popped mine with a 5v passthrough in my less informed days lol the cartos for the njoy can be refilled, either by condom method or wriggling off the plastic cylinder carefully and then dripping 4-6 drops on the filler. its a little tricky b/c if you put too much it will get in the hole on the automatic battery. but they work well for the convenience of going down to the local store. good for a pinch. I am now using the e-power. love it! consistent and upgradeable. but be sure to get a real battery charger. the one that came with it is not too well made and within 5 weeks it died on me. May your vaping be long lasting!

Thanks Noodoogy. As I said earlier, it may just be that ignorance is bliss. But I am pretty satisfied with the vapor I get from any of these brands. I just have some broken hardware (recharger) and the supplies are too expensive ($55 atomizers).

I have been refilling my nJoy carto's by dripping into the mouth-piece hole, which kinda works. But I'm not familiar with the "condom method." What's that? Also, should I be trying to remove parts from the carto to refill?

that will work just fine. Just make sure that if you are using an automatic battery that you dont over fill while connected to the battery. The automatic batteries are not sealed and over filling will cause juice to get into the battery. Manual batteries (with a button) do not have this problem. I am looking for the video of the condom fill method for you
