blondeambition3, so sorry to hear about your brother. My heart goes out to you.
Me too, sorry about your recent loss.

but on a lighter note:
Now could somebody else quit this forum?

That was a really good read.
I'm at work and bored, not watching any contests at the moment, and this thread was entertaining (stole a couple of animated smileys), and feel free to talk about boinking and stuff too.

Who's gonna quit next????

huh, huh?

Awww don't be too hard on her, she was obviously having a bad day or she wouldn't have felt the need to try an analog.

useless factoid - When I need to have my teeth cleaned I just hand them to the dentist.

lady: "you have lovely teeth, are they your own?"
man: "I should hope so, I paid enough for them!"

seriously folks, my dentist has been after me for years to quit smoking! the lack of oxygen affects your extremities first, and that includes your gums. Gum disease can lead to heart attacks. In fact heart disease is twice as high in people with periodontal disease. No joke!

yep, this is fact. most smokers have gum disease and are not even aware of it. and yes, gum disease can indeed cause heart disease.

Chanel, I'm sorry that you have to leave but please excuse me for saying that you irritate me so.

I believe I may be one of the reasons why OP wants to gracefully exit this forum. Exhibit A: she quoted me when i referred to myself as "ashtray mouth". In one of the forum thread, OP got mad at me and accused me of "slamming" smokers when I didn't. I don't know if it's against the rule to link a thread so I'm gonna quote myself instead:

I replied to one of the threads about a person who may be struggling to quit analogs... Chanel snapped at me when I said this:

Don't beat yourself up about not quiting analogs immediately. The last thing you want is to get too frustrated and return to analogs completely. It's not uncommon for us smokers to miss the smell of real ciggys. I myself am guilty of bumming a stick from my brother in law now and then.

I found that focusing on the benefits of vaping instead of smoking keeps me on track. No more smelly clothes, no more worrying that my hubby will get sick over my second hand smoke or kissing him with my ashtray smelling mouth. I remember that it hurts my chest whenever I take a really deep breath and that's gone within a week of not smoking. So now whenever I feel tempted to smoke analogs, I take a deep breath and remember how it used to feel. The trick is to find your motivation and keep that in mind. Figure out what's most important for you about not smoking and use that as your focus point.

But as everybody said just take your time and enjoy vaping at your own pace. 3 or 4 cigs a day from a pack a day is a major accomplishment already and you should be proud of yourself. Goodluck and happy vaping! :D

Did I, in any way, "slammed" anybody else or gave even the smallest hint that I now hate smokers? Did I even imply it? Is it justified enough to accuse me of being a smoker hater and make this overly dramatic thread about "people", apparently according to you me included, who badmouth smokers?

Now can you blame me for thinking that you, Chanel, just carelessly accuse people who just happens to think and feel that the smell, the taste and the general idea of smoking does not agree with them anymore, of "badmouthing smokers"?

People are different in every way, has this not been stressed enough in this forum. If they think that the smell of cigarettes stinks, let them be, it's their noses afterall and not yours. I don't think they are badmouthing anyone... they're just merely recounting their experience. Just like if you think that the smell of cigarettes is still awesome well ok, that's your own olfactory system afterall and not mine. I don't think anybody has ever "slammed" anyone for still thinking that cigarette smells good for them.

Some complain about yellow teeth and an ashtray mouth. I'll have you know that my teeth are perfectly white, without whitening stuff or anything. If you don't like my ashtray mouth, put up with it or take a hike.

I have a wonderful husband (nonsmoker) who put up with me for 7 years and still kiss me passionately despite my stinky breath, thank you. So I'm quite grateful that I have not felt the need to tell anybody to take a hike. I'm sorry that it bothered you that I now feel good that I don't have to kiss him with my "ashtray mouth". But that is how I feel and I'm sticking to it.

you got it wrong jowee......... she did not exit gracefully. gracefully would have been simply leaving, without the need to shoot her cakehole off!

yep, smoking stinks. yep, it's disgusting. yep, it will kill you one way or another. but YEP, i still enjoy 3 or 4 smokes a day, but i enjoy vaping more. it's my goal to quit completely, and when i do, no chance in hell am i going to be a hypocrite and look down my nose at those who continue to smoke. to each his own, i say.

haha i was meaning to be sarcastic on the exiting gracefully part. :p

Fortunately so far I have not encountered anybody in this forum who are indeed badmouthing current smokers. We are all ex-smokers afterall. You all have been incredibly supportive, encouraging and generous of your knowledge. :D

Ditto.

 My deepest sympathies, blonde :( I'm sure your big brother is looking down on you and happy you're vaping.

Nothing, nothing escapes the astute eyes of The Raven.

As for tainted teeth, some men ( myself included ) have a relative worse and more visible predicament: a permanent grimy yellow moustache. Yuck.

Now — praise the Vapor — it’s the first time in my life that I have a perfectly color-coordinated beard.

Have you thought about using hydrogen peroxide? Perhaps it will at least lighten it, till it grows out :D
