Howdy all;

I got my SSGGTS in the mail today. Feels nice in the hand. Fit and finish is excellent.

Few questions:

1.) I also ordered the fuse protection. Is there any info on that somewhere? Also, the piece that came in the bottom cap has a spring sticking up out of it to contact the battery. The fuse protection doesn't. I took it apart and saw the installed spring so I know where the springs go but what about any "spring action"? Does the neg end of the batt just rest against the fuse protector?

2.) I see that there are two included rethreaders. Are they for using 901 attys? I don't have any 901's, never tried them. They appear to be the same size and spec?

3.) I've seen mention about using Vaseline on the threads. How about using Noalox is that OK?

4.) The brass ends on this could do with a little polishing. I've seen mention of several products being used. Is there a "best" or "effective and safest for finish" product folks here are using?

I'm sure I'll have additional questions as I go along.

thanks all

I"m on my phone so I can't post the link but if you look in the top section of thisGG forum there is a thread for the GGTS manual. It answers most of your questions and is an excellent resource. It is in pdf format so you can save a copy to your desktop.

I don"t mean to sound unhelpful as I use the manual myself and having a copy allows you to find answers to questions you likely have not come across yet. :)

hmmmmm, I looked at the manual you speak of. The only thing it says about the GGTS is giving a list of batteries it can use. Nothing else. Now there is quite a bit of info on a few other products but not the GGTS.

Did I miss a section in the manual?:confused:

Edited:
yep I did miss the rest of the GGTS info in the manual. Read it all. Very good info to say the least.:blush:
