RDA Got a chalice III, what build?

Hey everyone bought a chalice III for my Reo grand. I've decided to step down from dual coils and flavorless clouds. I'm new to single coil, I only have 24g and 26g kanthal. Looking to get get a cool vape preferably; but I guess I can give semi-warm a chance. I don't like hot at all. I do want a decent amount of vapor to atleast fill my lungs.

What builds can I try and with what gauge?

Did you get an authentic or a clone? If you got a clone you may need to reposition the inner chamber so the air hole lines up where you want it. Might be hard to get a cool vape, not a whole lot of airflow as I recall.

Whatever you build - check it on a meter one last time WITH THE CAP ON before firing. It's so tight in there, it's easy for a wire tail to brush the cap - and hard short.

Good advice on checking ohms with the cap on. I shorted one once because I didn't check first.

I bought authentic from Robert at reos. I have totally schooled myself on the chalice and have always done that with every atty. I'm paranoid of collapsing a spring; although I do have spare springs and contacts.

I would consider it a cool vape.

I'll have to try it. I'm looking for the perfect balance of cool vape and a decent amount of vape. Hot vapes make me

I originally tried 28g at .75ohm very cool vape but hardly any flavor or vape. I then tried 26g at .50ohms better flavor and vape but I'm still thinking I can get both to be better.

Tried 28g twisted at .4 and wow too hot hardly any flavor. Then tried 24 at .49 and we're doing pretty good nice cool vape plenty of vapor. Flavor is about same as 26g.

I had the same problem with the Chalice III which is why I sold it. No matter what build I tried there was very little flavor but boy it sure was a warm vape.

If you want a nice, flavorful single coil atty for BF try a Hadaly.
