I'm a pretty new forum member, with just 36 posts under my belt. But I've been vaping now for two full years, without even wanting a cigarette! But man o' man, have I ever been through some systems on my quest for something that works the way I want it to work.

First the Blue style e-cig (White Cloud), which never satisfied, then ego-T and a host of clearomizers. Followed by my first real Mod, a Smoktech Zmax Telescope, which was also followed by multiple clearo tanks. I have a Kantertech Aero, which I liked a lot, but it required refilling too often. Then I bought a second one so I could switch them out midday while at work. That was annoying, so I bought a Nautilus Aspire because it could hold 5mg of juice, which would last the whole day, but then the coils. Oh those coils, which truly are not ready for prime time were being replaced almost daily (at at least $2/coil). So next up is my current tank, a Kangertech Mega. I LOVE this tank, as it holds over 4mg of juice, which lasts all day. My only beef is the odd way half the juice is hidden from view, but I'm on week two with this and the coil is showing no signs of distress, so this tank is a keeper.

This takes me to my quest for a 2nd Mod. While my Smoktech Zmax is good and gives a good amount of vapor, it never tasted fresh to me. I don't know why, it's just the power to cook the juice, but even at lower settings, it just didn't produce vapor that tasted fresh. As a new member of the forum, I noticed many of you have multiple systems and here I was with only one. And what would happen if it died and I didn't have anything. Shudder the thought. So having some time off this afternoon, off to my favorite vape shop for some testing I went. I tried all sorts of Mods, some with names I don't know, some I do, like Innokin (which is what I thought I was going to buy). I didn't want to know what I was trying, so I had the store put my tank on each mod at the same wattage and let me try them. The deal was I'd close my eyes and they'd hand them to me. Of course I kind of knew which was the Innokin, as it's a monstrous beast to hold and frankly wasn't fun to hold either. And I tried a couple of the box type, which I found odd to hold. Finally, they gave me this very nice feeling, somewhat lighter Mod and I took a hit and I knew it was the one that felt and tasted the best. So, I opened my eyes and I was holding a Provari. But the price. Whew. It's Pricey. Very Pricey. But it comes with a full two year warranty, is made in the good ol' USA and it just worked better, at least in my test.

So, here are my thoughts after 6 hours. The taste of the vapor is significantly better. The amount of vapor is significantly better and this is with the same tank, juice and coil I started with this morning. I'm using Kanger Dual 2.0 Coils, but somehow this Provari seems to make it work better. The Provari is quieter at the same watt than the SmokTech was as well.

I know many of you will wonder why I haven't joined the RBA wagon, but I'm not handy and my time is very limited, so rebuilding coils just doesn't appeal to me.

I hope my experience with the Provari is as positive months from now, but I now understand why people spend the money on something like a Provari. Maybe, just maybe there is something to that "you get what you pay for" saying. At least I hope there is.

Thanks for reading..........

Welcome to vaping! Can't help you with the Provari experience, but have you tried cleaning and dry burning your Kanger coils? I vape gunky sweet eJuice and can get my coils to last a couple of weeks each. There are lots of videos on maintaining coils if you do a search. Happy vaping! :vapor:

Thanks. I'm not having any issues whatsoever with Kanger Coils. The Nautilus coils for the Aspire system were (are) a disaster. I do know how to get extra life out of a coil that works. But the Nautilus coils are just poorly designed/made. Supposedly, they have a newer coil design coming soon, but I'm very happy with the Kanger, so I may just sell the Nautilus and be done with them.

What your are experiencing is the superior PWM of the Provari's processor firing at 800+ Hz instead of the 33.3 Hz of your ZMax.

My guess is you will enjoy your Provari so much that you will have a second one (because you WANT one, not because you need one) within a years time.

Why Provari?

Grats on choosing a great mod. :toast:

Thanks for the links. I really got a lot out of reading them. I didn't have a clue why it's different/better, but your explanation really helps. But I think someone sitting on the couch next to me, will kill me if I buy another one anytime soon!

That is the great thing about vaping, there are way too many option this days, you just need to find whats fits you.
For most of old time vapers, the provari its like an old gadget, but for you it just hit that sweet spot you need.

Yes, at this point in my vaping journey, while Provari may seem old to some, it's a great new addition for me!

Another little update. I'm using the same battery I started with at 7:00 AM this morning. It's almost 11:00 PM. By now on my Zmax, I'd know I really needed to change batteries because the vapor would be greatly reduced by now. But here I am vaping with the new Provari and it's vaping as strongly as though I had a brand new battery in. I think that's pretty darn cool! :2cool:

Congratulations!
They are awesome devices. You wont be sorry you own it. I see them as an investment.
I love mine! I have 2 and now today a Dragon is on the way to me!
A present for my year of vaping after quitting smoking for 30 years!
So now I guess I own 3!
Not a bit of buyers remorse for any of my Provaris.
The best most dependable vape I have ever had. I always have one close to me.

I own a small arsenal of equipment but I do think about my purchases. I have a reason for purchasing specific items.
I own Provari because of quality dependability and that Provape will stand behind its product.
I started from egos over a year ago and I am almost to my 1st year of being smoke free.

So many reasons and ways to enjoy Vaping.

My wife's provari is now over a year old and hasn't skipped a beat in that time. Its her only PV and she uses it 24/7. I've spent 10 fold on different mechs and mods looking for my perfect vape. I finally broke down a few months ago and got myself a provari, its vape quality beats all my other PV's hands down. Having my wife's provari last as long as it has along with its dependability its well worth the extra bucks spent. My wife and I can say that we are HAPPY provape customers.

Given how many devices I've gone through, I'll be delighted to get a year out of the Provari!

I don't understand. A "volt" is a volt regardless of what device gives it to you.

Not being facetious about Provari (I have one myself). They are built insanely well and the modulation is next to none. Just saying I do believe there is some kind of Halo effect going on here. :D

And this is why Provari is a $200 mod. Its a great build, great company and great warranty. Really unbeatable. Congrats on the new mod :D

$200??

During the 4th of July sale, I picked up a satin silver full-size ProVari with red LED & the extension cap (to fit 18650) for $159, shipped..

I have to say, the satin silver is a really nice look, in person.. Photos don't do it justice.. It also works just as well as my more expensive black one & my bronze one, too...

And if you head over to ProVape's Clearance section right now, you'll find a bunch of reduced-priced "blemished" models.. These are brand-new with a 1-year warranty, but have a minor scuff or scratch somewhere on the body or end-cap.. This only affects the appearance, and not the performance of these.. Due to ProVape's extremely picky quality control, most people who purchase one can never find the "blem".. Without the extension cap, you can pick up a Mini (18350 mode) or full-size (18490 mode) for as low as $130, shipped...

These days in that $130-$159 price range, you can spend that much on an Innokin, eVic or one of the newer Sigelei's..

I'll take a ProVari, thanks.. :D

Anyway, congrats to the OP.. Excellent choice! And feel free to stop by the ProVape sub-forum here at ECF...

ProVape

P.S. I know what you're saying, though, as I spent $215 each on my other two.. Then again, I also loaded 'em up with all the bells & whistles...

If you click on the link from a post earlier, it explains how the Provari regulates those volts. It could well be a halo effect, but with zero knowledge of why this thing is better, I just know it is. It's smoother, gives more vapor, which tastes fresher. You can call it Halo or Mystic Magic. That's fine. I just call it a system which is more satisfying.

Thanks. I also got the Satin Silver, which nicely doesn't show finger prints. I did pay a bit over $180 for mine, plus tax. I like to support my local Vape Shop, even though I know I'm not getting the lowest price out there. And there's the immediate, I want it, so I can walk out of the store with it satisfaction.:)

There is 2 of us vaping in our household and not having to worry about my wife having vape gear issues like some of the ones that I've had with my assorted other PV's is worth tons more than the price paid for her provari. Her provari has bounced around in her purse, fallen out of her lap and onto a hardwood floor a few times and toppled over on the table with that ear deafening THUD many times but it still keeps on vaping. My vape experience due to my wife's provari's dependability is top shelf since all I have to do for her is change atty heads and have not had to hassle with her PV making the happy wife happy life come into play with our total vape experience.
We both use the kanger protanks and single coil protank rebuilds with 30 gauge(1.4ohm) and hemp fiber, haven't used a stock protank head in over a year.
