The clone prices aren't too bad, but the original is kinda steep!

Then, let me ask you this:

Do you want a finely crafted, original design that is made in Germany with precision and high quality stainless steel?

Or

A sub par, sometimes ok, sometimes terribly machined rip off made in China with lesser quality metals that are sometimes not even stainless?

That sir (assuming you're a guy!), is my dilemma. I would rather have the original. Same reason I upgraded my ego clone to a ProVari. While I easily have the funds for it, just not certain I want to spend it now, but!...looking at my counter, I have saved enough on analogs to cover one!! Also not sure if I want another tank, but after watching Rip Trippers' videos on it, it seems to be an awesome vape!

Yes, I am a guy. Lol. It really is hard to beat. The expromizer is supposed to have the same vape quality with the ability to mess with the build without having to drain your juice. But that thing is sooo ugly. Right now there isn't a better tank out there than the kayfun, imo.

I have a few kayfun lite +'s. It's not the same design and the parts are not even in the same location. Having adjustable air flow was just the next logical step in the evolution. The customers wanted it and he delivered.

You do bring up an interesting point about trying a cheap clone before making the big investment in the real thing. Hmmm, I dunno. I guess that's not a terrible thing to do. You know, if they like it and actually buy the real thing. If they don't like it, just trash it.

Ah, yes Sovemesto, I could make the argument that they have made their own clone in the semovar.

$26.70 Russian 91% Styled Rebuildable Atomizer (4.5mL) at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
Worth every penny. I'm thinking about ordering 2 more. It's actually a Kayfun Lite + clone, not a Russian 91%.
This is the best one on FastTech (out of the two dozen or so versions they have).

So I ordered one of these to try out this style of ... whatever the proper term is. And I have NO idea how to use it. Where does the juice go? Do the wicks stay inside that little inner chamber? Or are the supposed to poke out into the outer chamber? Can anyone point me to a video or any kind of description?

Part of my problem is my confusion over what this actually is? Is it a Kayfun Lite clone? Is it a Russian 91% clone? Does that even make a difference?

Oh, there are a HUNDRED videos of setting it up!
It'd be easier to recommend one if we knew your starting point - do you need the part about how to wrap a coil? Do you make micro-coils? A lot of the videos will focus on a particular coil wrap, but there are some that will do a better job showing where to place the wick, and how to fill, etc...

Here's a pretty straightforward pictorial you might get started with...

Here's another one. Just googled and found it, but HEY, it's Qorax!!

Rip Trippers has a good video on YouTube for the Kayfuns. You can really see how they work there.

All that is just WAY too much trouble....for me anyway. I have a couple of drippers to taste test juice with but nah not for me at all. I admire all of you who are willing to expend so much time on a kick ... setup to blow vapor with. Hate tanks with anything but glass. That's how it is........old people are ornery and impatient and not easily impressed all of which describes me perfectly. :)

Thanks. I'll check out the videos. Most of the stuff I found was way too deep for me - they're telling you how best to rebuild them, and I'm trying to figure out where the juice is supposed to go. What's that weird hole on the bottom for? How are these pieces supposed to even screw together?

Etc.

The weird hole on the bottom is for....................

Wait for it...................................................

Filling it up with juice!!!:vapor:

If you are being serious the rip tripper videos are what I used when I built my first russian.
