i got a protank to go on my new vision spinner, and I am really disappointed. It tastes like nothing...I let it sit for a couple hours or so filled before trying it.
Everyone is always talking about removing a flavour wick to improve the taste, but i'm not quite sure how to do this...
i see a wick sticking out of the atomizer head...do i just pull one out?
any advice to improve the flavour?

I had to move 3 or 4 wicks from my EVOD and T3. tanks can also need air. If air doesn't get inside the tank, it does not flow well. Tipping the unit upside down for a second helps get air in (you want to get the opening where the wicks are free of juice). Also, taking a hit without powering the unit on seems to help a bit every once in a while too.

I've tried those things, and I've removed one of the flavour wicks and it still is dry and gross.
I'm going to try rewicking with cotton tomorrow i guess...

You can try removing a second wick. If it starts to gurgle, put it back. If not and it still doesn't taste right, remove a third.

I've had same problems til evods and they are the same system. Now I use a 1,9 ohm 32 gauge micro coil threaded with cotton and I fold the cotton back over the coil like the flavor wicks. Simplest and easiest system I've yet to use. A wick lasts me a day or maybe two on 80/20 dark chokolate flavor. I consider that ok. Just a tip. You dont want to really cram that cotton tight in there. A wick that you can feel toughing the coil and all around without pulling on it has given me best flavor and best longevity. Hope you get it working right.

I never waited, just vaped away on my original heads until I rebuilt them. Make sure you wash everything really well ( I never washed the heads cuz the flavor wicks unravel), as the tank usually smells like residual chemicals.
If you aren't getting any performance whatsoever, you have something else wrong. Try some new heads, maybe?

Sounds like too high of voltage unless you are using real thick VG juice you shouldn't have to remove any wicks. I've been using them for several months with 70/30 PG at 7 Watts and never get dry hits and I never remove any wicks. I got the PT II today and I like it even better with the replaceable tanks and drip tips!:)

7 watts? I prefer 9, though sometimes need to drop to 8.5.

Yep 7 watts. Everyone is different about what kind of hit they like. It is just like cigarettes, some people liked camel unfiltered while others like Maroboro lights ect. Camels were way to strong for me as is 9 Watts.
