and the question is, when using a DNA30 is there a certain range of ohms, that your builds need to be at for example, I have read on here people are building 1.2 to 1.4 ohm coils in there Kayfuns and then use there dna's at 10 to 14 watts, so for drippers using dna's, what is the range, you want above sub ohm, So say 1 ohm to 1.4 ohms, not sure what the range is, the DNA says it will fire from .03 ohms to 3 ohms, does that mean you can Vape a .03 ohm build at 30 watts, would it not be way to hot of a Vape for lung hits or too much throat hit with the higher wattages or does it just burn the wick cause the wattage is too high.

You can VAPE any ohm coil at any wattage you like if the board will fire at that wattage and the volts required to get to that wattage with the coil ohms you have on it.

Hot or Not is up to you. it is personal.

I myself don't see any need for such a device. The coils I build for my Kayfun's are always around 1.4-1.8 ohms and I run them at around 9-10 watts. Sometime a little higher and sometimes a little lower.

Right now I have a 1.4 ohm coil running at 3.4 volts which is 8.26 watts. Maybe I take it up to 3.6 or 3.8 sometimes during the day to gives me 9.25 to 10.31 watts. But then some days I don't.

Vape what feels best to you.

If you are a cloud chaser disregard the above.

The lower limit depends on which DNA device you're referring to. The kick2 specs it's lower limit at .5ohm, DNA20 at 1.0 Ohm and the DNA30 at .5 ohm.

Stay at that or above the specs and you'll be ok provided you're using the correct battery for the application. Get outside of its limits or the battery can't provide enough juice for your setting and the DNA simply won't fire.

You can check all the DNA specs by clicking on the Datasheet here.

Whether lower ohms will be to hot for you or not is preference and many other factors, you'll just have to try it. I personally don't feel the need to go below one ohm on any of my toppers, dripper or not. Others might like it as low as they can push it.

With any DNA30 device, if you want it to fire at 4.2 volts (as a fully charged battery on a mech would), the lowest resistance your build should be is about .6 ohms, perhaps just a bit lower. A .3 ohm build would only allow the device to fire at 3 volts.

As for whether vaping at 30 watts will be too hot/burn wicks/burn juice, all depends on the particular components of your build. Wire gauge, wicking ability, airflow, etc. I run a .58 ohm dual microcoil setup with 28g kanthal over a bed of organic cotton with my MCV Atomic (airflow set to maximum) and it's amazing.

0.3 on a mechanical is ~45 watts. It's all about your airflow and wicking. As long as you have everything setup properly/to keep up with the heat, you can put as much heat as you want on an atomizer..

0.5-3.3ohms..4Volt and 7Watt minimum output with the dna chips.

thank you for replying RuinerXL and SuspectK

that's what I read about Kayfuns and DNA mods was 1.2 ohms to 1.4 ohms and 8 watts to 14 watts, and if you went higher with the wattage it mutes the flavor and starts getting too hot and will burn.

and for dripping I like .6, .7, .8, .9, 1 ohm, and not sure about the wattage, yet I have watched Ripp Trippers Vape at 30 watts, not that my thing, I like flavor and the smell and I want to taste my juice, like if I was vaporing carmel apple you can taste it, and it brings me back to being 8 years old to the age of 15 on the Santa Cruz Beach Board Walk in the summer hanging out with all the neighbor kids and kids you went to school with, and you would meet girls from all over the state of Ca and it was good times.
