Lucky me, my workplace is fine for vaping as I work mostly alone and at my own pace...not so much for my part-time job. I can go the entire shift without vaping or vape in the bathroom. Everyone is happy that I quit smoking, though!

Seriously? I have to admit, I have not seen anyone else vaping here in Masterton but my hubby, my best friend and myself. But come to think of it, I have only seen vaping in Wellington down in Te Aro and around Cuba Street. A pipe bomb? I find that hilarious. I shouldn't, of course, but I do. Vape on!

I'm in Whangaparaoa, work in Albany. If I ever go out (rarely) it's to Auckland and limited to Japanese restaurants, Galbraiths, brothers beer or the kings arms.

Way up there...lol. I only go to Aucks for social occasions as we have friends & family up in Massey, Taupaki & Riverhead. The southern motorway is too much to contend with for anyone I didn't care about , truth be told. Heh

Welcome erousso. I've never had that problem. You probably should have been honest about your vaping from the beginning. They may be wondering about what else you may have hidden from them.

Well, I really didn't see it as any of their business. I didn't smoke analogs when I was at work and I eventually turned to vaping. I didn't really feel a need to tell them about it.

No, there are smokers that work there. But there is no smoking allowed on campus (even outside). It is definitely frowned upon.

When I first started vaping I would go to the parking deck and sit in my car for a 5 or 10 minutes and vape away. It's been nice stealth vaping at my desk but I think I will need to stop doing that to be safe.

Well, far be it from me to suggest that someone break a RULE but it is certainly better than smoking. Time to go stealth. Make up a rig like the one in my avatar and load it with flavorless, high nic., 100% PG and you kick limited vapor, no smell, and the high nic. means you only have to hit it now and then to scratch the itch.

I felt like I got my stealth vape down pretty well so I started vaping at my desk. Keeping my setup on my chair in between my legs. The other day I got up to get some coffee and didn't realize my setup was still laying on my chair for everyone to see. When I came back to my desk my boss and a few of my co-workers started interrogating me about it.

I felt really embarrassed. I don't know why, but I know that they don't understand the nature of vaping. I got a lot of flak about doing it at work and a little flak about them believing that I was not a smoker (I'm not, but they don't get that).

And I wonder if your Employer may have thought that there was Something Else inside your e-Liquid Besides Nicotine?

The most negative remarks I get, unbelievably, are from smokers. I love it when they tell me "you're gonna kill yourself with that stuff". I tell them "we're both already dead, you're just going first." Then I get a dumb look when they realize just how stupid they sound and look. Priceless.
