Got lots of vapemail...

Got lots of vapemail this week... including a bunch of gold and silver.

I’ve said here before that the 18650 Reos have become my mainstay, that the Mini 2.1, Woodvil 18490 and 2 Woodvil 14500’s were seeing little or no use because of that.

Well, that changed when I got the Chalice II, Mini OG and the Hornet it wears. So a caper was started on April Fool’s Day to get geared up in enough new metal Reos to hold me in them while I pursue some new Woodvil’s.

(The Chalice II resides on the now back in service Copper Vein Mini 2.1, and a second Naval Brass Nuppin' V2 replaced the Nuppin' V1 on the LP Grand TRA/TRB)

That is so weird how the two golds look so different in the same photo. All those are new?? wow!!! Christmas came early for you huh!

I thought they would be the same color of gold but they are not even close. So I assume the Mini is the old gold color and the Grand is the new gold color Rob is using. They both add color to what has been mostly just subtle colors in all my other metal Reos (until I got the beautiful blue Mini OG). The new LP/SL Gold is the real eye catcher out of all of them with the brass accents, the blue Mini OG takes my breath away, and both of the TRA's are my favorites "in hand" because of their feel.

I'm not one to normally give names to mods, but will refer to the Gold Grand as "Fools Gold" in memory of the day it was ordered (first referenced by QuikDrawMcGraw in the "bait" thread - thanks).

I'm really liking the Chalice II and III's... too much. A perfect match to the standard Mini 2.1's.
May need to get more III's for my Woodvil's.

Great photo.

They all look nice and the gold with the nuppin is really fancy.
Honestly though, my favorite is the hammertone/chalice combo.
My next metal reo is definitely going to be a hammertone.

That's what wide angle lenses on cameras are for girl. Maybe I'll get a new "all in one" picture made in the next few days.

I already had the new SL TRB door... bought long ago to try patina on when the solid TRB doors were out of stock. Glad now that I never got around to the patina thing.
