So do you all recommend having both SR and LR around for different flavors? I vape mostly fruit flavors and right now I have the LR atties. Should I get some Sr's?

Yours should have come with SR atties in the original kit.

I'm using LR exclusively right now, but may use my SR's from time to time still.

I just bought the cone, some atties and tank to go with my Riva 510 to try this out, so don't have any of the SR atties. I vape fruit types juice a lot, so I was wondering if the flavor and performance of these type of juice might work better in the SR atties.

I'm a little surprise, the flavor seems very muted to me. Also, one attie fried on me , not sure what I did wrong, but I can't get a horrible burnt flavor and smell out.

I must just be cursed with the e-cig. Nothing seems to work well for me. I ordered another cone and I will give this a try, but so far, this is a no go for me.

I guess I'll try the CE2's.

mjt - Did you say you were using this on a Riva Battery? I think the Riva battery may be a bit higher voltage at 3.7v (unregulated) than the eGo batteries. The C battery is 3.5v regulated and the standard eGo battery is 3.4v regulated. You may be simply overheating the juice with the LR atty 1.8 ohm and the Riva battery at 3.7v?

You might want to try the SR attys 2.4 ohm or get an eGo battery. The only juices I have had a problem with are dark juices. Coffee from CC and Caramel Kicker from AVE are darker and I got the burnt flavor with those. All my other juices are great with the eGo batteries on both the SR and LR atty.

The C atty is very maintenance friendly. You could take them apart and see if the wick or coil has charred juice caked on it?

Riffy in another thread described it perfectly. A dry draw is like a "burning tire". I have had several and it's really upsettting. I can see the promise of this system, but the muted flavor is a concern, that and the putrid tire taste if something goes wrong.

The burning crap is my main problem with vaping in general. I don't feel any better about being off analogs if I'm inhaling burnt filler or wick.

Yes, I'm using it on Riva's.

I vaped for months with the lr atty on the ego then i moved to a Mod .
Now i still use the ego when im out and about and the wife just recently got the ego c atty's and i tried it with her coconut e-liquid and it was decent .
I did not know that the c type atty came in a low resistance but she always vaped with the standard regardless and she is happy so im happy.

OH YEAH! The dry burn on this is the WORST! LOL Ego-c runs at 3.7v according to the extra batts on ovale's site.

I had to mess with how I was inhaling and when I was stopping to hold the button down. I vape 100% VG but this is what worked for me. I'd stop pressing the button and inhale for another 1-2 secs in the end, so I didn't get the dry burn taste on the next draw. Get too much or starts to gurgle and do the reverse, keep it burning for a 1-2 secs after you stop inhaling or press the button 1-2 secs before I inhaled. I don't know about the PG juices since I have none. I don't get along with the PG so all VG for me here.

My caramel flavor is the one I was having the worst issue with too. It's pretty dark. I had to run one of the atties under hot water & dry burn it a bit to get out the taste of dry hitting it one to many times on the caramel. After that, it was back to normal, like it was a new atty.

After a few hours I haven't had a dry hit once. I removed the tip of the tank and the 2nd little tip piece inside the tip (does that even make any sense lol) and then put the condom over that to get some more flavor. It seemed to help a lot. I only have the SR atties for now so can't wait to get the LR atties for even more of a boost.

I'll have to look into these C-LR atty's. I've been using the 510-Ts (mainly because I hated dealing with the padding in the regular 510's) and the eGo-T which I've had good luck with a multi-volt battery setup. The only problem I've run into is the occasional burnt taste and the fact that I've killed at least three atty's in the last two weeks due to those atty's deciding to commit suicide to varying degrees of success. Though, at least their sacrifice and trashing has taught me how to replace the wick.

My main issue is that as a graduate student my budget can get quite tight, so I need to find a set up where I can keep maintenance and replacement costs to a minimum. Any advice will be received extremely warmly. Though, I'll have to wait to buy anything since some waste of genetic material decided to steal my debit card number, resulting in my having to wait for a new card to make any online purchases... grrr...

I have noticed while using the C that the atty base and the metal area around the button will get warm. If I keep vaping it will get warmer and this is when I notice a change in the flavor. If I keep vaping after this I will get a dry hit and the tire fire flavor. Yum! :nah:

I used cartos on my eGo before I got the C and was used to taking a stronger draw. After adjusting my draw for the C, knowing when to slow down and let the atty cool I have been able to avoid the burnt flavor. I think this adjustment to vaping style is even more important with the LR atty as it adds a bit more heat.

Some more tasting notes on LR atty for the C
Hot Buttered Rum from Virgin Vapor is awesome on the LR atty! This juice has a great flavor on the SR atty with the buttery sweet vanilla, brown sugar and spicy notes of the cinnamon/nutmeg. Switch over to the LR atty and the spicy flavors really shine through and improves the balance between the sweet and spicy pushing the rum base forward.

House Blend from Copper Creek also kicks up a notch with the LR on the C. I get better vapor production with muted sweetness and bit more of an earthy character to the flavor. It almost starts to taste like a tobacco vape on the LR. Switch back to the SR and I get more cake/choco/cookie tones. This is a much more complex juice than it seems at first and it indeed morphs as it steeps.

Kona Coffee Milkshake from VV is one that seems better on the SR. It has a unique bitterness as Kona coffee is a very robust flavor that takes some cream and sugar to balance it out. The juice just looses the sweetness on the LR and becomes much too rich. The roasted flavors of coffee beans are quite forward on the LR where the SR keeps the robust Kona tones and reveals a nice balancing sweetness. :vapor:

I was kinda wondering about how warm it was getting too. My go-go never got warm. The ego-c has gotten pretty warm when I chain vape. Wonder just how warm it'll get lol

I also noticed I get the dry burn more when it doesn't have a nice bubble in the tank too. Didn't get it for hours till I filled a new tank, now I am again. Think I didn't leave a big enough bubble in it this time.

This thing is a little picky :-\

Riffy - I don't fill the tanks full. I only use about 1ml of the 1.2ml capacity. I think the bubble helps with the wicking. No bubble at the top seems to create too much of a vacuum in the tank reducing the juice flow and causing the dry hits. I also prime the spike with some small juice drops between tank refills.

I am into my third week and I love my eGo-C. Once I got used to all the nuances of the system I was so confident in the C that I sold all my unused Boge cartos.

I'm just trying to find the best way to not get the dry burn. Other than that I'm loving it! The flavors are so much cleaner than on my go-go. I'm sure the LR atties will help with the little bit of flavor loss that there is. Didn't really have the $90 to buy it as it is so it'll be a month or so before I can get some LR atties. I keep ending up taking out the tip & bridge of the tank. I rarely get the dry burn then, but that leaves a big whole. The 3 condoms that come with the kit work but I don't see them sold anywhere.

I DIY my juices and I have some I've shelved for months that are just HORRIBLE on the go-go. On the ego-c they are great though. No weird after tastes or mixed in "other" tastes. I had the worst times with mostly juice flavors on the go-go. Guess what I've got in almost all 5 tanks now.... JUICE FLAVORS!!! hehe Cranberry, Lemon, Hawaiian Punch, Mountain Dew & Strawberry LOL. All but the dew sucked in the go-go. I even tried the cranberry & lemon on the go-go again today to make sure it wasn't steeped or nothing.... it just tastes so wrong in it still. The carts give it a weird chemical taste.

Long story short, I know to late, I'm loving it! I guess I'm not a cart lover after all. The flavor just beats the gocarts so much! Oh! It's also really consistent too. The gocarts were all over the place on vapor production & flavor on each one. The ego-c is the same every time I pop a tank in it with anything in it. That alone is worth it for me! Taste & consistency.

The tip thing I keep failing at describing, someone did a much MUCH beter job at explaining it LOL

Here are a couple of tips for better performance of your eGo-T Tanks.

1. Take the vapor restrictor out. Take a paper clip and pull the plastic end of the mouthpiece out with the hole in it. Next look down in the mouthpiece and you will see a plate with a hole in it. Insert your paper clip and pull it out. If you can afford to leave both of these pieces out without getting dirt down in there, leave them out. You will notice a difference in vapor. If not just put the top plate back in and leave the inner plate out. The vapor is trying to get through 2 small holes and restricting vapor.

Don

I just leave both out.

Hmm, when I'm not getting a foul tire taste, I'm getting very little flavor. This is a problem for me. I'm glad you folks are enjoying this thing, but as Riffy said, it's finicky, which isn't what I wanted coming from cartos. If it was fool proof, I would be willing give up some flavor. Problem is, this burnt taste is worse than anything I've ever had go wrong with cartomizers or carts, which both IMO give better flavor for my juices and I've tried 6 different flavors now.

I may buy some SR atties, but not unless they get cheaper. I won't be buying anymore eGo-C stuff at this point. I'm already back to using cartomizers, which I hate, but I'm relieved to be safe from the tire taste.
