Got my ego today...couple of ??s

So my lovely new pink Ego showed up today. I'm wondering how you set this thing down. I had my 510's batt-side-up in a shot glass. The Ego has a nice flat bottom that I want to stand it on, but afraid this will be a problem. Will the atty leak onto the battery connection if I stand it this way?

Also, I've started feeling kind of sick since smoking it. I'm using a low nic juice (12mg) - some waffle from Vaper's Choice that I bought last year. This is the first time I've actually tasted a little waffle flavor - only got the flavor of burnt plastic (or no real flavor at all) with my 510's. I notice the filler (ptb) needs juicing much more frequently. So I'm wondering if the icky sick feeling is from too much nic or that nasty juice I blew out (and managed to lick some) a couple hours ago. Can someone tell me what a nicotine o.d. feels like?

I stand my ego up all the time and dont seem to have a problem with it.

Did you prime your atty's with juice before you started them up? I dropped about 2-3 drops on my attys' and at 1st it was a burnt taste, but then worked itself in. Did you blow out the atty prior? Just put your mouth on the end that attaches to the batt and blow it out onto a papertowel, then drop juices on the atty, fill your cart and go from there.

You've had the juice since last year? Is it still good? I don't know what the shelf life is but would check that out.

Nic od from what I read is nauseau, jitters, I get a little of that when I'm vaping too much...LOL...not quite sure what the sick feeling is from.

Not sure on the nic o.d. but if you think you have juice on your batt just take qtip and or a tissue corner or some thing and wipe it off.

Mines gets stood up , atty sticking straight up in the air 95% of the time. 5% of the time it is on its side.

I carry my eGo in a MagLite belt holder. It sits vertically. I place it with the mouth piece down when the cart is full. Don't have a problem with leaking. When the cart starts getting a little low I reverse it with the battery down. Gravity helps wet the atty and vapor is improved again.
A year old juice? Maybe why your feeling sick. Perhaps the juice has spoiled.

This is my 3rd try with e-cigs and all my juice is about a year old. I have some new ones on the way. Some of the juices I bought have an expiration date of 2011, so not sure if they're all still "good".

I did get nauseous, and felt lightheaded. Hard to say about the jitters. I have a retrovirus (xmrv) that causes a lot of symptoms, including sensory storms with extreme jitters. After I posted, I noticed I did NOT want to smoke a cigarette at all, so maybe it was too much nic. I have some 0mg Ecopure, so I'm gonna' try some of that when I feel better.

On a positive note, I'm getting much better performance from this than I ever had on the 510's.

Also got some drip tips, so if that stank-... burnt taste comes back, I'm gonna' give those a shot.

You actually can set your down...I can't stop vaping it. lol

I set my standing up on my desk or in a foam thing I made with holes in. All standing battery down. Never had a juice leak. I do have several going at a time so they have time to settle the juice to the atty.

Some flavors don't taste like they did with the 510's. Or maybe I am actually tasting them for the first time.

Icky sick feeling is probably too much nic. Like I said, it's hard to put the eGo down. Licking up e-juice is not recommended but I don't think after 2 hours you would have any residual.

Yep, I blew the crap out (and managed to get a decent amount in my mouth), dripped about 5 drops of juice and let it run out the other end, loaded a fresh cartridge, and began vaping away.

I'm noticing the sick feeling is backing off, so I think I just od'd myself.

If the mega atty works better than this, I might have to smoke zero nic more often than not. I've always smoked light cigs, but about 30 a day - I figured 12mg juice was a step down for me....but guess I was wrong.

well it will not hurt the batt. if you have a manual batt. thats why they made then right?

if you get the nic in ur mouth it will make your belly feel weird, i only got a lil in mine be4 so if u get like 5 or 6 drops yea im sure thats what it was
