Hey all, I got my first order from V4L late this afternoon, and have tried a couple of the Vapor King batteries already. They are sooooooo nice! Was surprised to discover that they had apparently been charged already as it didn't take 8 hours to charge them...more like 30 minutes! Hope I wasn’t supposed to leave them on for 8 hours anyways. Haven’t tried the pass through that came with my starter kit yet...it’s the one that plugs into a computer USB port...and hoping someone can point me to instructions on how to use it?

As for the order, I am happy with everything except the batteries that came with my starter kit. I chose the pink manual batteries and the ones that came look more like a burnt/dark peach, and they don’t look very good with the pink blank cartomizers I ordered to go with them. :( However, V4L also included a couple *beautiful* lavender batteries, for FREE in with my order...is that awesome or what?!...so the sting of not getting the beautiful pink ones I thought I was getting isn’t quite so bad. A few hours ago I picked up some nail stickers to try and spruce up that dark funky peach color (no offense to anyone who might like the color) a bit and make the battery go nicer with my pink cartomizers, so maybe I’ll be happier with them. If not, they will make good back-up batteries. BTW, does anyone know what the *purple* blank cartomizers look like...would they go with the lavender batteries? May order some purple blanks in the next order.

To anyone who may be interested, the standard Vapor King is longer than a Cig2o electronic cigarette, which makes the manual battery easy to hang on to while operating that little button too! BTW, I haven’t smoked an analog since I started vaping on February 2nd either!! :w00t: Oh, and I *do* like the manual battery! Took to it like a duck to water...ummm, err...that is AFTER I tried that first drag and didn’t get nothing. Thought I had a broken battery until I remember to push the button. DUH!! Was smooth sailing after that. :vapor:

*Thanks* for reading my post and for any info on how to use the pass through. Y'all are great!!

The pass through plugs into a computer usb port and works constantly without having to charge, recharge ect. Just plug it in and vape. When your done, unplug it. Never leave it plugged in unattended because it can be dangerous or it can screw it up to where it wont work anymore.
Thanks for the response newb...that sounds so handy!

Is there any danger of the pass through harming my computer/notebook?

one more tip, if you attempt to use the PT with USB 1.0 your computer should prompt you with a warning to unplug it. not enough power. this would be with older computers.

in fact, i'll go a little further. don't use it with a USB power adapter that is output rated less than 500mAh, and is 5-6V. that rating should be on the sticker of any power adapter, whether it is wall plug in or car lighter.

SnowDragon: Thanks for the welcomes and congrats. It’s SO nice not having to stand in the cold anymore. LOL.

Cynnamin: Thank you for the welcome. :) Yeah, I really like these lavender batteries...that purple battery is really sharp looking too!

Clover~: Hey *Happy Belated Birthday*!!! Yeah, and it was a great day to quit the cigs in more ways than one...lol...a blizzard arrived that night! As Mother Nature was throwing a tizzy fit outside, I was sitting in my comfy chair vaping instead of standing on the porch hanging on for dear life trying to smoke! The PT is definitely an interesting looking contraption...will be giving it a try soon! I think I read somewhere along the line that they can be used in the car too.

Welcome to the V4L family Sandy!

The passthrough shouldn't cause you any problems with your computer. Always unplug it when unattended just to be safe! Actually I don't even do that...I simply take the carto off of it.

The folks around here are a helpful bunch...join right in and you'll be a pro in no time!
Hey there wader2k, thanks for the welcome. Does the PT only pull power through the usb when the carto is screwed on? Yeah, I know...a real newb here.

Hi tj1100cl, thanks for the additional info! Fortunately for me, my computers have the 2.0 USB port so no concern there. Glad you also addressed using a USB power adapter as I was thinking about how I could get around plugging the PT directly into my computer’s USB. So one has to use a powered USB adapter to do this? I have one of those USB cables with a male and female plug on the ends that I use a lot...feel it keeps from wearing out my USB ports...and was going to try using it. Sounds like this may not be a good idea!!

"burnt, dark-peach color" battery. Hmmm.... Can anyone take a guess what
color she got?
Sallyem, I'd send you a link, but there just isn't any on the V4L website that I've seen that look like these...at least none look this way on my screen. All the pink ones I see on their website are absolutely *gorgeous* on my screen. These two batteries are definitely NOT like anything I would call pink...they look like a really dark peach/fleshy color to me. Have to admit that I'm having a really hard time getting use to this color. :( Haven't installed any nail stickers yet so don't know if that will improve them or not.

Actually, I feel kind of bad bad-mouthing the color as there may be someone on ECF that would think they were pretty. LOL. I'm just not one of them.

EDIT: I just saw your comment about my avatar...thank you! I have this pic as desktop wallpaper and thought it'd be beautiful as an avatar so cropped and re sized. Horses and snow go so beautiful together...

You gals make me chuckle! But, I have to admit, I also care about the color of my batts. I don't think pink or pastels would send the right message.
...that's probably because you wouldn't look good in pink, lavender, or blue...IOW, pastels! Seriously, I can see what you mean about the message. LOL.

Thanks for the chuckle! :)

Sandy68....I went to the V4L order site, and looked at the battery colors again. The pink batteries are alot
lighter in the picture than they actually are. Peach, flesh-colored? My pink batteries are a brighter, darker
pink than the pictures depict. I think you got the correct batteries. Sorry they aren't what you expected.
I think they are pretty! Pink cartomizers look good on them too.
