I know this is a vague question and I am sure it depends on how hard I draw. I just got my ego yesterday. It came with 5 prefilled carts. I smoke like a pack and a bit of cigarettes a day. I started using it last night, and the cart seemed to be empty this morning. I put a new one in, and it seems to be dry and is kind of tasting funny. Is about 1/2 of a day normal?

If so, does anyone know where I can get some liquid here in Pensacola?

How long a cart will last depends on how much you vape. Sometimes a cart will last me quite a while if I keep the draws small and don't chain vape. Other times it seems like I'm refilling a lot because I'm taking longer draws or constantly using it. If it smells or tastes funny, then you should probably try refilling it.

Almost all carts are inefficient, and require constant maintenance and refilling or topping off. There are a lot of cart mods here on ECF to try and get around these problems, and I've tried most of them. You can also try dripping, which you can also check out here on ECF. I've tried it all with little success or satisfaction. My solution has been to buy an "auto or bottom feed" mod. I have a REO, REO Mini, and Phidias. You can also check out the Journeyman. All of these will solve the cart problem, and since they have considerably larger batteries, contain their own supply of juice, they will get you through 1 or 2 days of vaping without any hassles.

Most everyone starts with carts, but like me, most of us get tired of fiddling with carts. Although the eGo is a great ecig (that's what I use), the prefilled carts that come with them really suck. They contain that gross Chinese liquid.

Nowadays, I direct drip my juices using a drip tip. Three drops on the atty (through the drip tip) provides about 8-12 good vapes. Since there is no filler or anything, the vapor is pure and tasty.

I drip my juices about 90% of the time, but for the occasions when dripping is impractical (like driving), I use a cartomizer, which is a combined atty and cartridge unit. There are many versions on the best way to fill a cartomizer, so I suggest that you read on this forum on that subject.
