Got my L'il Goat and love it!

Between the ordering (via email) and the getting, less than two weeks. I requested a low-key, no flashing lights stealth-type baby goat. With an eye hook on the top for carrying. Nothin' fancy. It works really great. I'm coming from dripping a long time, manually (gah!), usually on a Black Beauty from AltSmoke -- a very nice mod. However, it's so tough to drip and drive and other drawbacks, yet dripping is what I'm all about so I refused to give it up. What surprised me right off the bat? How little it is!!! I can pretty much conceal it in my hand while vaping. Who'da thunk? I find the 3 ml bottle lasts me about 24 hours. So does a regular 14500 Trustfire battery. The bottle is very easy to refill and reinsert. I can't say enough good about the drip well that's built into this. It rocks. No spills or drips. The on/off switch is handy because the atomizer button (what you push to fire up the atomizer) is exquisitely sensitive. You can practically depress it by thinking about it. So don't jam this into a purse or pocket without turning it off first. This is such a sweet little vape. The squeeze-ability of the bottle is just right. A few gentle squonks and you'll see a miniscule rim of liquid appear in the drip well. Vape at will. The cover slides off and on easily enough. The innards fit nicely. The battery spring seems tough enough not to go all sideways like some battery springs are prone to do. Re-inserting the needle-tip of the bottle after refilling is a snap. There's nothing to report about this that I don't like. Even the boring black color I requested has a nice sparkle finish to it. I'm rocking it right now with a LR306 from Cisco and a Delrin drip tip, which closer inspection may reveal to be mercilessly chewed upon. These are so reasonably priced. I am a happy customer. Below are some quick snaps, with the Li'l Goat gracefully posed next to a BB and a Tornado tank. Thanks Old Goat!

His site is here: Old Goat Mods

Just shoot him an email and tell him what you want (3.7 volt or 5 volt); also whether you want (a) paint or (b) a hanging clip-on thingie. If you look at the long-ish thread above you'll see some mighty fancy paint jobs!! Also he can put in LED lights that change colors if you like.

I got mine around Christmas time and love it. I could not believe the difference and when I stuck a LR510 I was even more amazed. What a hit.

I sent a buddy in Kandahar 1 of Old Goats 3.7v bottom-feeders like mine and he's asking for more. He got more buddys willing to try. That's all it takes usually. Old Goat will be providing me with a few more to ship over in the next care package I'm putting together. He's really been SUPER in helping me do this. I can't thank him enough.
I thought I was kinda rough on my OG, but can you imagine what they go thru in the desert of Kandahar, Afghanistan? He is still vaping with it and last said to send a few more cuz too many buddies want to use them. He really like the lanyard so he can be hands free but still have it within reach whenever he wants it.
So in about a week I will be shipping a nice package that would please anyone that loves vaping.:thumb:
Thanks again Ron..

That's really cool Rosco - you're a great friend to do that.

I have some LR 510's from Cisco as well but haven't tried them on my Goat. But I plan to! The ease of not-dripping any more, the enjoyment while driving without stress of trying to drip, just spectacular. A great little mod for sure!

Nice review. How does the needle seal to the bottle? It looks like it just presses on. Any leakage there?

I have the big battery version of this mod, and one of my bottles doesn't have a leak, but the other bottle has a little leak that has just shown up, I think it might be from the seal of the top, not the needle. But to answer the other question, yes the needle is pushed down into the tip, and the tip is widdled down to fit, it is REALLY HARD to take the tip off to fill, I think I might have damaged the tip removing it one time, and that is the reason why it is leaking.

Thanks for the thread move Angus! You remove the bottle by easily slipping it out. I put a paper towel on it to twist/pull off the top (the part that contains the needle/tubing). Cover, twist gently and pull. Fill. When the bottle goes back together there's a definite little snap. What I find most problematic about refills is actually visualizing the little hole where the needle tip gets reinserted to slide back into its place. But then I do (grudgingly) wear reading glasses. A fill lasts all days for most vapers. Such a convenience! I haven't detected a single drop of leakage either inside the unit or out.

Thanks for the review. I have a lot of bottom feed mods - all costing well over $125.00 ea., and they all work great. The Old Goat mod that I bought about a month ago is not my favorite, but it has performed flawlessly and has absolutely no leaks. It does what it was designed to do, and is a great mod for the price, especially for those on a budget. The only problem I've experienced with it is remembering to turn it off when not in use. It has a sensitive firing switch which activates with the slightest of pressure and this can be a problem at times, so use the off/0n switch and you will experience no problems. I use an LR510 atty on mine, and it provides a lot of vapor & good flavor & TH. It uses a 14500 battery which lasts about 12 hours, and the 3ml dispenser bottle will get most vapors through a full 8 to 12 hour day.

Nice review!! I agree how nice (and especially how affordable) these Old Goats are. I love mine and use a Cisco 306 LR only.

I also still use my eGo (also on a lanyard) and alternated between needs. This allows my OG to cool before squeezing fresh liquid onto the atty, plus I use different flavors and nicotine strengths. Alternating these, I go through 1 eGo battery and 2 OG batteries a day. I also go through 5ml's of joose. (possibly more)

I bought a bunch of 3ml bottles(can't remember where now, but I save invoices) and can fill different juices in different bottles. I just keep my attys/cartos seperate and labeled. Works just great too. I love the abiltiy to switch around if I want to, tho I usually don't do it much.
Just can't beat what the OldGoats offer. I love them bottomfeeders a lot.:)
