Just read somewhere else where a chap left his PV on a counter in a vape store ....turned away, turned back, and then it wasn't on the counter at the vape store. It can happen anywhere and lesson learned the hard way.

Twice I've left my handbag draped over the chair in a restaurant, and I can tell you that my heart was in my mouth for the 2 minutes max it took me to realize and run back to the table.

Walked into Walmart, a woman left her bag in the cart, noted the latter had a wobbly wheel, turned to get another cart and guess what....they locked the doors and checked the cameras but no luck, it was gone.

Look after your stuff because there's way too many people want it, and don't want to pay for it.

there seems to be an upswing lately concerning thefts of PV's.
i also have noticed that the popularity of these devices is increasing exponentially.
there are a lot of younger folks here that have expressed there interest in them to me
and inquired about how to get started.they want to start off with the more advanced stuff
not the cigalikes.i gladly give them my advice and almost every one of them say"what,i don't have that kind
of money to blow".the problem being if you buy locally a branded ego 1000mah passthrough,2 iclear16,s,
and a 30 ml bottle of juice will set you back 50 to 70 dollars.they think that's excessive.
most don't have a credit card and due to the new fangled common core education they don't
understand that after the initial start up cost their cost per pack to juice ratio is from $7.50 to $0.30 aprox..
they simply don't understand that they will save buku bucks in the long run.
but youth being youth and the fact that that our new educational institutions don't teach morels,
common sense, or critical thinking they are more inclined to pocket things apparently abandoned lying about.

I was in a strip club in Toledo Ohio the other night and one of my favorite strippers came up to me and said: " Look what I found laying on the bar...what is it?" I told her it was a Chinese cell phone that wasn't any good because you had to have a battery charger to make it work so she sold it to me for five dollars! :p

Yeah, personally i wouldnt leave my gear sittin out at a bar..... i mean, i wouldnt leave my phone, keys or wallet sitting there either. i dont trust people when i am out somewhere. especially with my personal property. its a hard lesson learned but now you know not to do it again. and at least it wasnt some super rare mod yeah it most certainly sucks when someone steals from you, its the lowest thing in the world in my opinion..... not talkin crap about the SVD just saying, at least you didnt have some rare ... Gepetto or Wapari with a SAT22 get stolen...... that right there would have made me seriously hate my life.

Not that I like common core, or think the educational system is decent at all, but I do think that morality is a parents domain. Not the schools. I want the schools to teach my kid the facts. I don't want the school to muddle the facts with a version of morality that I may or may not agree with. Actually, my version of morality is the simplest thing ever. Do unto others... I don't need a school to teach my kids something like that.

As for common core math, my son gets taught math my way at home. So far, no issues. He's top of his class in math, likely because I'm the only parent in his class who didn't bother going to the school to learn common cores version myself. It seems to have been designed with the kids who just don't "get" numbers in mind. I want my kid to get it, so he has been and will continue to learn both ways. If he gets points knocked off for not drawing a bunch of pictures to solve a problem in the most round about and inaccurate way I've ever seen, I will raise you know what in that school. So far, no ones dared to knock points off for what is the correct answer at the end, no matter how my son got there.

Critical thinking can and should be taught both at the school and at home. My son never gets a straight answer from me on any questions. I lead him to draw conclusions on his own based on his own observations whenever possible. His school teacher is often flabbergasted at the answers and conclusions he comes to in school. We also enjoy "stories with holes" at home. They're stories you must solve with the clues given within them.

For books, he is encouraged to try reading and understanding something at least two levels above where his teacher claims he's at. I find that whatever process they are using at the school to determine reading comprehension is for the birds. He's never had an issue with anything I've given him. For words he doesn't understand, he has been taught to look at the rest of the sentence to try and determine the meaning first. If he can't, he has the Internet and a student dictionary. I will not nor have I ever given him a definition save for confirming if he is right or telling him to keep looking if he's wrong. Nothing is "too hard" in this house. Ever.

Sorry for the off topic rant. It's a sore spot for me. Both the educational system, and what some parents seem to expect from it. I look at some of my sisters teen friends and wonder how they manage to get dressed in the mornings. These are the same kids who grow into the adults who take whatever media story on something like ecigs at face value, without any research on their own at all. It's how groups like the ANTZ gain their blind followers. It's how we wind up with the politicians we have. Parents need to step up. It may seem easier to give your kid the answer, but in the end "look it up yourself" is the ultimate in lazy and the most beneficial in my opinion. And no, showing up does not earn you the trophy! Grr!

/end tiger mom rant. Literally. I'm half Chinese, and my views on education are based largely on my Chinese father's policies at home, minus that bamboo stick he carried around. Also, I will accept an 80 on a test (not reward for it, as I do consider an 80 to mean lack of trying) where as my father would punish us via grounding us until we read every page of the encyclopedia set we had at home. Yes, he did that. *shudder* Where he grew up in Taiwan, under an 85 was failure.

Unfortunately, there are dishonest people everywhere. It wouldn't have made a difference whether you left it unattended at a strip club, a traditional bar, or the eatery at your local mall. There would have been a good chance you'd come back and find your shiny mod gone.

Sorry for your loss, but at least now, you'll have that Provari coming. You won't have buyer's remorse there! Just remember to stick it in your pocket when you have to go tinkle.
