Ok so I had an smoktech SID and my wife wanted a PV so I decided id get the EVIC. its over 100$ its gotta be good right? Well, one of the first things I notice is that my EVIC doesn't seem to output near what the SID does. Im not sure if its not outputting what it says it should be or what.

Basically the issue im having is with her SID at say, 9 watts. the vapor is much warmer with more throat hit and flavor but with my EVIC at 9watts the vapor is a little lacking but mainly the throat hit is much less. noticeably cooler and just not that impressive. I am using the same protank 2 when i did some comparison tests. I noticed right out of the box though that my EVIC was not performing the same as the SID is.

I tried with the 2.4omh atomizer that came with the protank2 and also the low resistance 1.8ohm one it comes with also and it makes no difference. I have tried as high as 11 watts on both and hers its much more noticable at the higher watts. mine is still much less with the same tank, same atomizer. I coiled my own atomizer with cotton wick and 30guage, its 1.6 ohms. still the same thing.

Now, I have sent an email to tech support at joyetech to see there thoughts but I figured id come here and see if any of you kind folks have these devices or a EVIC and something else to compare. My wife agrees with me on this also and I have not yet been to the retailer I purchased it from yet but that will be my next stop sometime this week to see if they can do some tests or something.

I got an rsst for my evic and I'm enjoying it better now. I wasn't really having the best of luck with the protank 2. Still don't think the evic is worth it over the vamo or sid but I'm getting used to it. We did some measurements at the retail store and it's right on at lower voltage but a little off at higher voltage when it needs to boost it above the cell voltage. I am thinking maybe the amp draw limit has to do with the difference between the evic and the sid. Not sure. FYI I'm using silica wick in my rsst cause I kind of suck at rolling mesh and the silica wock performs great. I folded a piece in half that when in half just reaches the bottom. Pulled it through the bottom side after coiled with a piece of coil to help it through the hole. So its doubled to fill the hole better. I'm liking it a lot. I'm scared to drill the hole though cause doing that ruined the flavor for me on my cobra clone. Thanks for the input everyone.

I purchased a e-vic when they first came out. It's now my ohm meter. It performed ok but my provari worked better but was more than double the price. This being said I ended up selling the provari anyways.

Once I got it dialed in at the proper wattage with the right ohm's it worked well. I still use it from time to time with a carto but its becoming fewer and farther between. It's definitely not a bad VV/VW device, opinions will vary on it but it should last you for a while. You can even get a spare battery and charger if your a heavy vaper.

If you have gotten used to the 33.3Mhz Rattle snakes, getting used to the eVic or even a Provari will be difficult.

The SID/Vamo/Sigelei Zmax........etc. etc, etc. all use a rather Punchy Low frequency Full Power pulse system.

I have the Vamo, eVic and an YJ Lavatube.
eVic is much smoother than the others. Not anemic, simply smoother and much more accurate at holding correct power output.

The old YJ will out power all the newer China releases. Problem is the inaccuracy. Set to 3.0v it is actually slamming out 4.02v. At 4.5 it is at 4.5 as reading on display.

Did you do a FULL charge before using the eVic?
Battery ships with a storage charge.
