Ok, it's been in my mouth for 10 minutes...can I take it out yet? :p

Someone asked for my opinion on it and all I can say is....pine tree ;-) It definitely is different, and I will give it more than one shot since some have said it's an "acquired taste". I guess it's juniper berries or something, which I'm not at all familiar with, and it is a very strong flavor. I'm more used to the minty snus so maybe that's why it almost seemed like torture to leave it in my mouth long enough to get the full flavor going. Right now I'd have to say I don't like it, but I didn't like coffee either the first time I tried it and now I'm very much a regular at Starbucks ;)

Most of the non-mints are an aquired taste. I've found that the drink that I'm having while snusing can effect the taste of certain snus. My personal favorites are Mint with coffee, Diet 7-Up with "Goat Rape" and Roda Lacket, and Diet Dr. Pepper with Onyx.
Some may find that weird or nasty.
The point though, is to try it with different beverages. You may find something you really like with it by experimenting.
That's part of the fun.

In the mean time? Take it out, darn it!
You're supposed to be enjoying yourself!

Got to say I didn't like that one at first but it's now growing on me. Just ordered 2 more last night.:D

You may want to try Roda Lackett. It has a nice fruity taste like strawberries to me.:)

I do like strawberries! I have some strawberry Discreet that kicks ... :p

I imagine you'll be equally charmed by the expression "raping the goat" which I've seen on a snuser discussion board in reference to using that product. I'm sure the name is pronounced differently in Swedish (like "raw-pay" perhaps?) and no doubt has a very different meaning in that language, but I haven't yet found an online English/Swedish dictionary that can tell me what that might be.

I think it really does resemble gin though, and I suspect those who never liked the taste of a dry gin or gin & tonic probably wouldn't be fond of this either.

From the Northerner web site:

Göteborgs Rapé is a brand that dates back to 1919. The word rapé is french and means grate. Snus was already used during the 18th century, then snus was grated on a file or grater and was used as smelling snus - this was the exclusive way to use snus. The name Rapé was probably given to this snus so it would get a more exclusive feeling, and to separate it from the other snus brands, that just had a place name or for example “qualitysnus”. Göteborg is the swedish name for the city Gothenburg, Swedens second largest city.

Good call. Roda Lackett is one of my personal favorites....That along with catch eucalyptus. Both are great for new snusers in my opinion...

Personally, goat rape is one of my top 5 faves, but then I used to quite enjoy a Tangeray gin martini, straight up, no twist or olive. Goat rape also comes in mini-portions, which are the size I prefer.

Have you tried the Mocca Pomegranate minis yet?

No, haven't tried those, but it does sound good!

See it does grow on you!:D
I think when the tobacco is fresh you get too much ammonia taste from it. Let it sit for a while and the taste changes. I've had a few I hated at first and now love. Gotlannds Yellow los I couldn't stand now it is one of my must haves daily.
Though I keep going back to the 1847 and it still tastes like crap to me.
