Okay, you want an RBA. I think that's a great choice. A very good one for your first is the Ford Taurus of RBA's, the RSST. It has some very nice features, like an insulated wick hole, spring capture center post, and a tank that doesn't let your wick short out on the bottom. You can get it for under $30 online.

It was recommended to me quite strongly, but I went with the AGA-T2, which is the 64 Chevy Impala of RBA's. It has a glass tank, while the RSST does not so you might want to shop for one of those. I got mine for about $26, I forget where... oh wait, it was Free-cigs.com.

You will need to also order up some mesh and kanthal wire. In general 400# stainless steel mesh and 28 ga. kanthal round wire is a good starting point.

Very important, get a way to check your ohms on your RBA. A cheap multimeter from Radioslack or the spiffy little ohms checkers some vape sites sell. They have a 510 connection you can just screw your RBA into and throw a switch, but they are hard to get and out of stock everywhere, because certain enterprising individuals buy them up and sell them for several times the price on Ebay.
Another important thing, if you are running an RBA on a mech,
GET THE RIGHT BATTERIES!
You want the red ones, AW IMR or Efest. I use the 18650's both kinds, 2000 mAh, and they work very well. Don't try to use lesser batteries in a mech with an RBA on it, bad things can happen.
