There is a quirk with the dwolla in that it calculates your total before discounts are taken into account. You will only be charged what you see on the last screen but it authorizes based on the total it has before discounts. Its a quirk but the only work around to it is to just make sure you have enough in there to cover the amount before the discount is applied. You will then be actually only charged what you see on the last screen.

I am looking at a couple of solutions to this so we'll get that fixed!

I think I got "Quirked" by your dwolla system. I need to find out if my order went through, I didn't get a confirmation email or anything. Being a first time user of dwolla I didn't know what to do when it asked for a payment key, that needs to be explained, I just kept getting sent back the previous page not knowing this key was being emailed to me and I had to put it in that box.

After I figured it out I had a half a dozen keys  so I used the last that was sent and when the page refreshed it said my session had timed out and my cart was empty, so I have no idea whether my order went through or not.

A little help

Hey - late to the party as usual!

As I had two credit cards hacked into in one week this month I'm a little paranoid about on-line (well everywhere) and using plastic. So please explain to my simple brain something and correct me if I'm wrong. If I use plastic the bank protects me against fraud. If I use a debit card hackers can get into your bank account and clean it all out - no fraud protection. To use paypal and dwolla they transfer money from my checking/savings account to fund my purchases. Wouldn't it be even more risky giving these places your bank account numbers? If hankers can get your cc account than can't they just as easily get your bank account numbers from paypal and dwolla? And wouldn't that be even worse?

I do so much shopping online and just want to know the best way to protect myself.

My concerns exactly!

Just signed up for Dwolla!

Was a bit skeptical about providing them with a photocopy of my CA Driver's license and handing them over my SSN... But I did it. Why? Because I hate PayPal and i'm sick of it. The ethics of Dwolla sound just so amazing. Also the fact that they support (allow) e-cig vendors makes me smile already.

From here on out, any online selling and buying will be through Dwolla.

I think we need to get Dwolla more connected to ECF and it's members.

The instant thing you shouldn't need to keep once you are funded more...depends on if you want it...I think soon it will be instant bank transfers and won't need them to 'fund' it : )

Is that a CA thing that you had to provide that? I didn't have to do either.

I agree. Aside from having to fund the dwolla account ahead of time or pay 3 bucks a month for instant- which they are supposed to be improving- dwolla is perfect. I hope to see them expanding soon.

That's what I am hoping for. I just hope it's gonna happen soon. It's not really a problem but it is a bit of a PITA to have to figure out what you want to spend, wait for it to transfer, then order your supplies. Especially if you tend to be a procrastinator, which I know nothing about. lol It's still worth it to keep my cards safe though, not to mention the rebate. :D For now I only put what I need there when I need it. I haven't found anyone else who accepts dwolla yet, so I can't put all my money in dwolla to give to y'all. :p I did find one local shop on the map, but it is a tourist place I have never heard of, much less been to. Maybe we will start to see more and more places showing up.

It might be because I attached my bank account to it.

Congratulations to all of our Dwolla users. Your first quarterly rebates will be processed within the next couple of days and sent to your emails as gift certificates.

Again, thanks so much for getting Dwolla @ GotVapes Rebate Program off to such a nice start...
That means I actually have to check my email now, huh? Geez, better go clear out the 7,000 spam mails so I can find it. ;)
Thanks for being a rockin vendor and sharing the wealth. :D

All rebates sent out. The first few I sent as a coupon code and then did the rest as gift certificates. From now on they will all be gift certificates- makes it easier to administer and also allows a person to use more than one gift certificate on one order if they are accumulating (like you really popular people who get much gift certificate love)....
