As I’ve often said here before, I don’t fiddle, mod or tinker. I just want to vape. I can’t be the only one, so I thought I’d start a Gotvapes thread for others like me.

I’d like to recommend my 2 favorite cartos. For me, they are both out of the box ready to go, no hassle, and last, but certainly not least, great tasting cartos. One old; one new.

1) Stardust. I just rinse them out every few days with hot water; maybe soak for a while in vodka if needed. Haven’t had any quit yet. I’ve thrown a couple as they began to leak badly out of the battery end, probably because of gumming up the works. See my first sentence. Each has lasted at least 2 weeks though, so at less than 50c a day, it’s a deal for me.

2) Phoenix XL. Amazing things. Just remember to fill upside down. I didn’t know this at first, and watched juice glug out of the battery end. Pretty funny sight. The thing that really blew me away about these is that, long before I saw a video, I had this baby all apart, cleaned and put back together. It’s that easy. Even did my first dry burn. Woo hoo!

Note that I haven’t tried the 3ml Phoenix yet, but have the feeling it may join my list.

I wouldn't mind tinkering so much, if I didn't break everything I tinker with. So I will join your party. I don't have much to add yet, though.

The visions are pretty fiddle free. You may have to raise the cup seal if it's dry, lower it if it's gurgling, that's about it. And it does require the usual rinse and dry burn to maintain, but even I haven't messed that up. Yet.

Even though peeps are posting mods for the new fluxos already, they seem to be working fiddle free for me so far. But I have only been vaping one for all of 2 hours, so I must reserve judgment until I have had more experience.

Phoenix XLs ordered today- can't wait to try them!

I like the visions too - great taste - but always get leaking through the mouth end unless I keep them upright. I use them at home, but don't carry them around with me.

I haven't tried the new fluxos, but I never liked the taste of the old ones. I gave them away in the PIF forum, and at least one of the recipients thought they were wonderful. Funny old world, ain't it?

P.S. Bet you can't break the Phoenix!

Don't be afraid of the dry burn Kellie. If I can do it, you can too! It's really easy.

Of course I broke the first cardinal rule of vape testing- brand new juice in a brand new carto. But I am out of everything else except some juice that is losing it's flavor so until I get in the kitchen and brew up some new juice that's what I have to work with. So I can't speak to the flavor of the fluxo yet. After vaping about 1/2 a tank it did start tasting a little off but it could be the fluxo, could be the new juice, could be that's about the time I popped the ceramic cup and got gurgling, could be my sleep deprived taste buds... time will tell. I'll be sure to let you know. My understanding was that most people thought the taste came from the black rubber in the old fluxos and the new ones have none of that so hopefully they will be better.

The new ones haven't leaked on me yet even laying on their side for a couple hours but you do have to pull it apart and trim that inner bottom
Ring or the drip tip might push it down on the coil but I can only speak for my self with these , the star dusts work great with the right juice . Other than that still looking for that fiddle free one .

I keep hearing great things about all these new cartos but im a bit gun shy. The Stardust was supposed to be the cats meow but I'm mostly unimpressed by it. The flavor is weak, they can't handle any kind of wattage, and I get a constant sore throat from them. I just wish someone would build a decent carto so I can stop dripping. In other news, when are you guys going to do the obvious thing and build a decent dual coil clearomizer?

How's the draw on these? The only other bottom coils I have tried are the Sapphires and the Vornado. Didn't like either one. The Sapphires I felt that I had an easier time drinking a McDonald's milkshake through a straw. The Vornado I had to keep looking down to make sure it was in my mouth when I took a hit ...lol I'm a fluxo/Vision guy, so I was going to get the Vivi, and wait for the top coils to come later and skip these ones altogether.

I'm still stuck on Stardusts. Can't imagine anything better. :) Of the ten I tried, only one gave me a problem - the draw is so tight, my eyes feel like are going to pop out. I'm going to toss that one once I use up most of the juice in it. Otherwise, it works with any juice and gives great taste - for me, anyway. I use mostly 100% VG, thick as syrup, and no problem with dry hits or anything. Except on the aforementioned tight one.

It's a better draw than the sapphires and vornados, not quite as good as the stardust. IMHO, of course.

Agree, I have tried juices of all different viscosity, with no problems at all. They are hard to beat.

I am torn about the vivi nova. I told myself to just stick to the stardusts and pheonix (what is the plural of phoenix - phoenices?), but I am sorely tempted. I have waited for a metal carto for a loooong time, always been a bit nervous about liquids stored in plastic.

I'd like to wait until the early adopters begin to post about the vivi nova. On the other hand, I may just break down and order one when the metal tubes come in stock!

Can't wait to try it. I'm also not into fiddling - though I have. I do the dry burning once in a while, but that's as far as I want to go, and, frankly, I'd rather not, but what can you do...

I've had *abysmal* luck with bottom coils so far - hoping for better with this one. I just ordered one to try out.

I ordered it - now waiting with baited breath. :D It just looked to cool to pass up. I've always dreamed of a modular carto that easy to clean. Maybe this is the one. I hope. And I love the *looks* of the metal tubes, I'm just not sure how practical they are - I'm used to seeing how much juice I have. Not real sure how to get along without that.

On the other hand, I'm also nervous about leeching - obviously some juices do. I have several tobacco all-natural ones that just don't play nice with plastic - the taste of just awful. If I can use them in a metal tank, that'd be great.

Dry burns are fairly easy...through the dry burn process, I have some Fluxos that I've been using since December! It really keeps them going, since they don't have to work through all the gunk. Not quite as good as new after a while, but definitely worth the risk. 5 second pulses once they glow until clean. Make sure your wicks are dry (hence DRY BURN) or you'll use up a bit of battery while they dry. I can go from dirty/completely assembled to new juice/cleaned and vaping in about 5 minutes.

Got a few stardusts today and I'm really liking them. Some people complain about the tight draw, but I kinda like that. I also got some fluxo's. Less than impressed. First of all, did I miss something when I ordered them?? No tip on them. I don't mind using my own drip tips but only one of them fits, and that one is very tight. And the flavor isn't all that great out of them,, couple of dry burnt hits.. maybe i just didn't let it sit long enough. Won't give up on em, but probably won't buy them again. Maybe I should go with the phoenix??? Damn, I hate when I make the wrong choice!!
