I've upgraded our server space, which is on one of the top providers in the country in a dedicated quasi VPS. It seems like as the site has grown I was noticing more lag than we were comfortable with. Our costs nearly doubled with this so I would like some feedback if anyone notices it being 'snappier' or if you had ever at all noticed some lag that is no longer there...

It is a trial for now...

Noticed it more when in administrative...always thought we were pretty fast in regular catalogue browsing...

Seems a bit quicker, but I must say I never thought it any worse than the other sites I've gone to. Do you know what your peak time is for hits? I might be able to pop in then and see how it goes.

I've been to a lot of the other vendors that when you visit it feels like I just entered the twilight zone and dial up is the only speed, yours has never been like that when I've been on. You do a damn fine job!

Though I don't try and play when you're dropping bombs, I wait for the radioactive fallout to come out and order:)

Thanks for the feedback fellas....

The upgrade gives us about double+ ram and burst ram, thats the main thing...of course there is a bit more bandwidth and server space...

Same here. Image loading is almost instantaneous. Definitely much faster page loading in general as well.

Yeah, things pop quite nicely now. Should really improve what happens with the next bombs.

yup snappier

I agree. The site itself seems about the same but loading images from the smaller pics is light yrs faster

Images load much faster for me.

There is no difference for me... But I never had any problems with the site being slow in the first place. I think in my case it's just my own connection speed from my ISP. I had to choose the slowest speed available for money reasons, so I just can't go any faster.

I noticed the forum upgrade though. Nice. :)
