The rubber gasket on the adapter connection for the 901 to 510 adapter piece that's inserted on the bottom delrin unit has come off. Can I replace the 901 to 510 adapter myself? Can I use an 801 to 510 adapter instead (since I don't have a 901 to 510 adapter on hand?
You can try to replace it with a 901-510 adapter.
Make sure you clean it thoroughly, and dry it good.
To put a 801-510 adapter in, that may require drilling or reaming it out.
But doing this, may cause it to weaken.
I would imagine this may be from liquid running down?

Not sure, I think it was actually from over tightening the adapter. I was able to reinsert the gasket by removing the o'ring from the CE2 and putting it in the adapter so that the battery side pushed down a little more than normal. I suspect it will happen again though. Hopefully this will just get me through until you have spare parts available, at which time I'll try to use the 801 to 510 and won't have to worry about messing it up because I'll have a back up.
