Both w/RM2 -- 2 ohm. It is AMAZING how different the juice tastes when you play w/the VVG dial. I've been diddling w/the dial throughout the weekend. A few times I turned the dial up a bit too much -- WOWZA. Note to self -- don't do that again.

I found the sweet spot -- now I'm afraid to touch the dial. The VVG is everything you told me it would be. Thanks to all!

Hi Debzcf, I am so on the fence with whether to get another VV or Grand. I've got them both and they both perform so well. I'll be honest about the "wheel". Once I found the sweet spot, I stopped playing with it. That's not to say it didn't have it's place, it does. It helped me find the sweet spot. However, it makes me wonder; If I can find the sweet spot on the VV and then build the coil accordingly for the Grand, then I still got a good unit. I've even thought about prebuilding coils and just change out on the fly, or (this could get expensive) just have some extra RM2s. As I look at all of this though, I ask is all this trouble worth the extra fifty dollars. As far as the battery retaining a regulated charge? I thought I would have problems with the Grand, but I'm not. I just change the battery when things get weak. Hell, I'm going to buy an inline meter and stop guessing. Not to sound so deep, but then I began to think about "What trouble am I having with the plain REO; NONE! I came from the world of Provari (only a short visit before I found you guys). A world where I had buttons for adjusting and checking batteries. A world where adapters were required for EGO tanks. A world where I could turn the LEDs on or off. A world where I was given options. However beautiful that world was, and still is for some, I could not do one thing that the REO can and still does without fail: I CAN PUSH ONE BUTTON AND VAPE! The Provari required five presses, and then you had to make choices or types of tanks. What voltage am I going to vape at? Am I going to use the bottom fed tank or the VIVI Nova? I had become so consumed with options, that it detracted from the reason I bought the unit in the first place; vaping.
Anyway, not to get off track or take away from your thread. Yes I do appreciate the VV for it's glory, but I also respect the Grand for it's simplicity. Ultimate solution, since this has become a obsession, I'll just keep buying both and even more when the DNA2 comes out (and I'm sure it will).

By the way debzcf, even though I wrote you a long post about the virtues of the Grand and simplicity; I've been up for hours trying to decide whether to get another VV or Grand, LOL!

Hi Debzcf, I am so on the fence with whether to get another VV or Grand. I've got them both and they both perform so well.

Unless you're planning to start a collection for no other reason than you can, you now have the best of vaping options -- why are you adding another? I haven't had the VVG long enough to give you any direction. I love both the VV and the Grand. Both are consistent, both give me the perfect vaping experience. I'm not looking to add another -- at least until which time Rob comes out with something else that will blow both out of the water.

p.s. I also started with a Provari (and tanks, and carts, and attys). Can you amagine me driving down the Parkway vaping on that thing with a tank attached?! I used to get many a strange look. lol

Well you asked debzcf! I want another one because my grown kids are still in the house. I want another one because I did 24 years in the Navy and almost 17 of that on ships at sea. I want another one because I have to lend money to my brother' and sister's because they wasted their money on trivial things. I want another one because my wife won't let me trade MY car in for another one. I want another one because even though I live less than one mile from the ocean; the wife does not want a boat (I know, you would think after twenty four years in the Navy I wouldn't want one, but this time, I would be the Captain)! I want another one because I can't vape at work. I want another one because the more money I make the more I pay in taxes and the less service I receive for my money. I want another one because cable prices keep going up, while the number of channels I watch decreases. I want another one because when everything else around me is false, pretentious and cheaply made in a country that can't even make toys right (let alone a safe e-cig) is charging me more for crap than the excellent products made by REOs. And finally; I just Luv the darn things! Did I mention I like them?

Got it. Go with the VVG -- as many have said, "the button is sexy." :p

Awesome! I agree 100%. REO Mods are the real deal. I just got a reo mini 2.1 last week to go with my grand and I can't put it down. I'm already thinking about a VV. But then I think...maybe I'll just kick my grand...that would be the practical thing to do...but then I wouldn't have the joy of ownership if I don't get another REO. ROBERT O'NEIL, GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!!

Anyway, deb, if you found the sweet spot, don't be afraid to touch the dial.

Maybe on the DNA 20 mod (P38) the dial will be vertical, so diddling with it would feel more natural for both genders?

Tracball option for the ladies? :)

Super X, maybe you are joking, but I kind of like the idea of the vertical slide. I mean think about it, with graduating clicks?

I'm not big on detents / clicks. Just something to wear / fail. I wouldn't change a thing about the VV grand. It is the Buick grand national of mods, in that it is a badass sleeper in its truest form. :)
