I've been looking around, and was more than a little surprised to not see *anything* about people who use photoshop/gimp/whatever program to manipulate or draw images.

I've been a talented amateur with graphic manipulation for years. I generally make signature blocks and avatars for friends, and the occasional banner for websites. I could literally fill up this whole topic with images that I've done over the years, but I'd rather see what you guys can do!

Tell us what programs you use, what your favorite sites for resources are, what you like doing the most!
Post your best work, post something you're working on and want advice with, or just show off something.

Keep it clean, don't be offensive.
If your image is huge, put it up on an image hosting site and link to it.
Constructive criticism is just that. Don't post that you don't like something and that's it. Give ideas for making it better!
Also, constant praise without detail is just as bad. Sure, you did a good job, but what makes it look good?

And a few of the images I've done that were for me and I like quite a bit. Some of them are quite old, and I used them on another forum for an online game.

I'm an artist in traditional (oils) and digital media (photoshop, paintshoppro, painter), I also work in fiber and clay, found objects (antiques and vintage junk) and natural materials (twigs, dirt, weeds and rocks). If it isn't already being used for something, my brain always wants it to be art somehow.

Here's something fairly recent of mine that I really love, it's called "halcyon":
