While researching e-cigs and trying to decide what to buy I came across a fantastic post (possibly even here on this forum). Just in case it wasn't here I would like to share it with others. Someone (can't remember who, sorry) said to start your e-cig experience like this.....

1. Get your supplies and spend the first day getting all your batteries charged and ready to go. (Noted to make sure you have 2 complete e-cigs so that one is always charged and ready to go). On your way to bed put all of your old cigarette stuff away. Don't leave any trace of your old habit in easy reach. And wash all your ashtrays.

2. Get up on day 2 and start your vaping. DO NOT under any circumstances light a regular cigarette. You really can do this. it's not that hard. Just DON"T light that first cigarette.

3. Day 3 should be a repeat of the same. Keep your batteries charged and your vaping supplies handy. Make sure you don't put yourself in a position to not have an e-cig ready at all times.

4. Day 4 is the day of truth. Start your day as before with your E-cig. Once you've been up for a couple of hours go find a regular cigarette and light it. With any luck at all your experience will be much like mine. That cigarette will all but gag you. You will find yourself putting it out and wondering how the heck you ever picked up that nasty habit in the first place.

I followed those rules to the letter. I was extremely surprised out how well it worked. I have not missed my analogs at all. After this first couple of weeks I find myself feeling much better, and not missing those nasty analogs in the least. I haven't killed anyone and there are no unexplainable bruises on any of my family members. I don't think I could have said any of that honestly with any other method of quitting before. I am even finding that the smell of others smoking is not the least bit appealing. I hope someone finds this info useful. Happy vaping!

As of now I only have one battery, another is on the way and elquids. Right now i'm down to 5 analogs, they don't taste horrible to me but when the battery runs out i put a timer on my watch not to have one under 90 mins so i do other stuff like cleaning my desk and papers dishes or whatnot to keep my mind off it.

Ideally when all the juice comes and the extra battery, might get a third and all the supplys then I wont have to reach for american spirit. Honestly they real ones don't taste horrible to me yet because i still smoke them when the kit is charging.

Hopefully i will get discusted with the real tabbacy once set up but I really don't know since smoking for over 30 years. But it's a good start so far.

Vaping so far gives a good nic hit but not the full blast so i'm hoping the e-juice will help with that 24 mg bottles.

Last time i tried to quit cold turkey a few years ago i lasted three days and wanted to beat people up for no reason, totally out of control.

Do whatever works for you, my wife did the patch and that worked and i tried it but still smoked out of habit and almost had an OD on nicotene like having 5 cups of espresso in a row. Works for some but not everyone.

I think this is the way to go, i nice solid vap is satisfying and you don't think about it every few minutes.
