Earlier today, I posted about my dissatisfaction with my Kanger Protank. After reading several other posts, I read one that stated it was his juice. Well I'm happy to report it was my juice also that was causing a funky metallic taste! It was the traditional menthol juice that I ordered from vape4life. I do like some of their juices, but sure enough when I smelled it, it had a odd odor. Just think, I have two other tanks coming in the mail and I was about to give up on them. Now, I just have to work with the "airy" flow. I've ordered some EVOD heads and a air tank controller, so me these will help. The air flow is annoying, but not a show stopper at this time. Thank you guys for this forum, it has really helped alot!

Glad you worked it out, and glad you posted for others to see. In my experience, the pro-tank takes some fiddling with to get a good vape. I'm still not 100% happy with it and it mainly sits on my shelf gathering dust while I use my vivi nova.

Some other things you can try while you wait for your EVOD heads and airflow controller are (depending on the battery you are using) to use the beauty ring that came with the tank and tighten it up tight to the tank (not the threads on your battery, you'll damage something) That helped me a little bit - plus you can cover the slots in the base with your finger, a piece of tape or something.
Someone else mentioned they put plumbers tape on the threads and only poked out 2 of the 3 air holes - I've not tried that, but I can't see any reason why it wouldn't work.

You know, after using a Vivi Nova as my out-and-about setup for a long time, I didn't like airy draws either. However, after getting a few new devices with airy (and super airy) draws... and learning to draw slowly... they don't bother me one bit. I actually prefer it now and I get a better vape with a slow draw (even on my tighter devices).

I just find it very cold. I use an EVOD a lot and like the draw on that - but the protank with it's metal drip tip and airy draw just don't do it for me. I even tried putting the silicon 'condom' that spare vivi heads come in on the end of the protank to make it more comfortable (just a trim with a box cutter) and it still didn't do it for me...

Saying that, I still also use a CE5 and like that - so what the heck do I know :D

I have a bunch of the condoms that come on the tips of CE5s. I just cut off the closed end and put it over the tip of the protank for a warmer softer feel
