Price has been escalating quickly, they were not always so expensive. Even with the number of mods I have, the $245 price tag of the newest ones is just stupid for a shiny mechanical mod.

Tell me then, how many mods do you have that are mechanical and not shiny that can hit as hard as a gg can at 3.7v? Yes the prices have certainly gone up, but is that not the case with any item that has a limited production run and a high demand? Would you rather have the gg's quality degrade by having it massed produced in china from cheaper materials and with poorer quality control?

Well, I am not trying to personally attack you. As I stated, it is a free country and you can buy what you will and also stated in a light hearted way, if you have the money, may as well do something with it. I was just trying to mention in a small way in my head that one person having 17 of them just kind of irked me. I do not hate you for it, I collect pv's also, not anywhere near as high count or multitudes of the same kind but I do like to collect them. It is not something against you for having them. At least they are getting used and enjoyed.
I just kind of feel with something like the GG specifically it is kind of high.

When I started vaping I told myself don't become an addict so every time I buy a new pv I make sure to sell another. Of course if you have a loaded bank account buy as much as you like but I still have to watch my money so I stick to my VV monkey, 2 ugly egos, and a reo. I am considering to buy a VV Reo when it comes out which sucks because I have nothing to sell anymore to make up for the purchase.

Anyways fantastic collections I see here crazy but amazing stay banana folks

I admit that I have taken your post a bit personally. No, I do not have unlimited resources, I just have jacked up credit cards and a problem with OCD. When I started vaping over 2 years ago, I had it in my head that I wanted to find the perfect vape, so I would buy almost every pv that was put out, looking for that. I finally realized that there was no such thing as a perfect vape and each pv has it's own strengths and weaknesses. This, coupled with what the vapor feels like vaping at that moment leads to the choice of what pv to use to satisfy that desire.

Several weeks ago I was on the radio doing an interview for the vapors place and prior to the interview was forced to count all my pv's so that I could give an accurate number as to how many I had. Believe me, I was just as shocked as anyone else when I then came up with the count as being 285! Honestly! I would just tell people that I had about 140 or so, but 285!?! Damn, when I think of how much money I have spent these last 2 years I wonder if I would have been better of staying an analog smoker!

Then perhaps as a justification, I thought, well since I basically have all of the really early models of e-cig like the Zimoshi, the light vapor, the adaptever, and 2 of the original screwdrivers from trog to name a few, I thought this would be great to hold on to and have my own little vapors museum. Having the knowledge that I have accumulated during this course of time also allows me to give people decent advise as to that type of ecig might better suite them.

Regarding the amount of GG's that I have, I also have, (not having counted them prior to this post) every single model of e-cig that vaprlife has put out which numbers about 15 or so. Why do I have so many GG's? Well for one thing, when I started on ECF one of the first venders that I hooked up with was Imeo. From the first pv that I purchased from him I became hooked on his product. So, if you came across a product that you really liked, say for instance a band whose music you liked, would you not them buy all of this bands cd's? You surely would not get the ones you did not like, but I have liked every GG that I have gotten from Imeo, I also have several one of a kind pieces included in my collection.

So in closing, I will continue to purchase every pv that imeo comes out with, no matter how expensive, because I like them and my OCD demands it. I will keep up on the news of when new GG's are coming out and camp on cloudsofvapor's door step to be able to purchase one.

I'm with you Colonel...if you really want a GG...pay the piper & get one. I got mine second hand, & paid a premium, and they are worth it. Supply & demand is a ....., but it's the way of the world. :2c:

I know that it is hard for many people to obtain a GG and in your case AG you were able to buy one 2nd hand. Unfortunately, In the GG market, 2nd hand certainly does not necessarily mean vastly cheaper then new. As to if the cost of the GG is worth it, that is something that only the person that is vaping on it can say. I have known and seen several individual get their GG's and respective parts gold plated! Heck, if that is not pv love then that is surely just the case of someone who just purely wants bragging rights. I know that one friend of mine, who had his GG gold plated commented that it improved the performance even more because of the increased electrical continuity.

I would be more then happy to put a hot spring in a mod to improve it's performance but to gold plate one? Nope, that is not for me, I want all OEM equipment!

I wish that I could bring myself to sell the pv's in my collection that I do not care for but I cannot. My last name is not Gates or Buffet and my bank account is surely not limited. I probably should seek help for my buying addiction but sadly do not.

No pv is ugly nor less or more special then another. If it does for you what you need it it to do, then that is all that counts.

Vape on monkey brother! Damn I just remembered, I don't have a Kong yet!
