I'm looking to get into this. I've looked at many different products. I'm considering 'Green Smoke'.

I really need to know a few things. It seems that at Green Smoke it is priced higher with the starter kits, why might this be?

Are these products universal? If I were to purchase refills from a different brand at a local retailer would they work with the Green Smoke battery?

If you think there is something better than green smoke, please fill me in.

I just want to get whats worth my money.

Thanks!

Greencigs are the only cartos (=PVs with cartomizers, 2-piece-units) where you don't have the problem with burned filling, so if a 2-parter is what you want, you don't have much of a choice, really. (Unless of course you want to inhale burned plastic.)

They are fairly expensive, though, and not all that easy to refill. It can be done, though. But you should look at 3-piece models, too; much cheaper, and while you do have to top off the carts where the liquid is stored more often, it is also a lot easier to do.

The most popular recommendation is the 510, although I'd go for an eGo, battery life is considerably better.

Greensmokes are a great product..I started on them and enjoyed them very much. They are very over priced and If I had to do it again, I wouldn't .

The two piece design is nice and worked very well..I kinda miss that now that Im dripping liquid and filling carts. But With my new tornado I dont have to take 3 batteries with me and worry if I can get them charged in time for the next day.

If the 2 piece design and the prefilled carts are what your after go for the Kr808..Much cheaper and probably a little better in some ways.

510's are always a great start.

But it only took me a week to find my Tornado and I love it and I think Im gonna be on it for a while..

Good luck

AAkburns, if you are new to e-cigs, Green Smoke is a sensible place to start and they offer a solid 30-day money back guaranty. The basic kit is easy to use, the flavors are weak but OK. I started with them but returned my kit because of short battery life and absolutely ridiculous prices ($50 battery?)

I saw some reviews of a new company, Teslair, that offers a similar basic kit as Green Smoke for a fraction of the price. Two batteries, a charger and 9 cartomizers for $35 (GS starter kit is $139). They also offer money back, I'm not sure if it's 30 days or less, but the price difference is substantial. You may want to call them or email their customer service and ask some questions. I have not dealt with them so I can't recommend them, just looked at the website, but I have a feeling that they are comparable to Green Smoke.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Alex, OP asked about Green Smoke, not Greencig, they are two different animals. Green Smoke may not be available in Germany (?)

I started with GS. It was ok, nothing as good as the much cheaper 510, but not bad. Its an E9 carto 2-piece system. Actually, as far as I can tell, the same as a kr808d-2...not the much better kr808d-1.

There is a significant issue of burning the carto filler with the GS. Especially with the GS PT, which runs at 5V. Mine would be literally black inside if I vaped too much. The flavors were ok at best, but adding juice to the carto was problematic. No matter how I did it, it would flood or fry.

I also found that the batts, which were ok at best in the beginning (but then all batts that size are ok at best), they wouldn't hold charge after a few weeks.

The kr808d-1 cartos are of better materials, and do not tend to burn. The batts last much longer than the GS. And they come in more than just your usual cig-look. And much cheaper, with more technical support here. If fact the kr808d-1 and the 510 are the most popular brands of "normal" (not a mod) PVs here. I would recommend getting the kr808d-1 if you want to go cartos.

Another option is get a 510 starter kit, and get 510 cartos, which are now available. Had I spent the money I shelled out for GS hardware on 510 gear I would be stocked for years. GS heavily advertises, but puts out a product no better, and in general far worse, than far more inexpensive PVs.

And yes, Greencig is a different PV than GreenSmoke.

Just my $0.02.
