I am desperately searching for some feedback on the Greencig G400. Does anyone out there have any experience with this unit? It has been around for a while now, but there is very little info out there...
Is it really of good enough quality to warrant the high price of batteries and cartos? (After spending hundreds and hundreds of dollars on crap that doesn't last I think I would be willing to spend the extra money if there was a major difference in quality)

What kind of performance can one expect from a G400? (Throat hit, automatic switch performance, etc.)

Thanks!:2cool:

I actually got one a few days ago. The 900mah battery is pretty nice. However, the carts have quite a hard draw on them. I have been soaking one in vodka for two days now trying to get the pre filled juice out as there doesn't seem to be a way to get the top cap off the carto. It's glued right onto it and the mouthpiece opening is the smallest I have ever seen. I tried prying it off with a paperclip but that just caused more damage. I have just been using the battery with 808D-1 cartos and it seems to work much better. All in all, I would say it's not worth the price. If anything just buy the battery and separate cartos.

did u try getting some hot water in a bowl or something and putting just the tip of the mouth piece in and holding it there for awhile then getting something to pry it off with? also with a small hole you could always use a drill or something to make it bigger.. sounds like thats what would cause the hard draw

I have one too. Its not the cartos that are responsible for the draw its the whole unit.if you look at the top of a typical 808 bat you will see holes on the side of the connection and on the cartos there are slots at the very bottom of the connection end.The g400 dose not have these vents to allow air to flow.It is designed for what ever reason to draw air in from the tiny holes at the LED end of the battery. I dont get it.

It looks cool though. A bit bigger than I imagined from the pics.

It tastes cigarette.

The cartomizers are not made to refill and they dont make blanks.

Do you get a good draw/throat hit from it? Would you say that compared to other stuff you've used that it's worth the extra $$$ ? Thanks for the responses guys -- finally I am shedding a little light on these damn things! (I am seriously considering purchasing a set for my wife and myself -- we are just really sick of buying stuff that breaks down on us... One nice thing about analogs, if it breaks there's 19 more where that one came from! :)

well its 58 bucks for a one battery kit so just my opinion but your money would probably be better spent on an ego or riva or gogo

I did crap loads of research on these things before finally choosing one.

The G400 is nice from all that I've learned, but after further research I decided on the Bloog Maxx Fusion Mini PCC kit fr $100.

It's basically an upgraded KR808 style like the green cig, but the Bloog cartomizers are supposed to be the best, and I've been like 2 weeks without smoking since I bought mine. If it's important for it to look like a real smoke, and you like the auto battery/carto 2 piece PV, I would highly recommend it. I know there's another similar one called the VOLT, which i believe uses the same technology but I don't know the price, nor have I ever tried one. I would still at this point buy either of these 808's over the g400, with my nod going to the Bloog!

It hit's hard right to the last puff, I can stretch 2 carto's easily for at least a full day, and with the PCC case, I hardly ever run out of batteries. I recently tried an Auto 510, and it didn't come close to my little Bloog.

Good luck!

Well, It all depends on what you are looking for out of an ecig. For me and my tastes, I used it once and put in back in the box and there it sits.

That is due to 2 things,

a) I had already moved away from cigarette (smoke) flavored juices and had developed more of a taste for tobacco flavors( like how a fresh pack smells)

and b) I didn't like the super stiff draw. to be honest its like sucking through one of those coffee stirrer/straws. Nothing to me like a cigarette.

But like I said if its a smoke flavor your looking for their western tobacco flavor is one of the few I have tried that is close.

Also the throat hit is pretty close to a cigarette. maybe a little smother. but close.

"Gold Standard" ??? Not by a long shot !!!!!! (IMHO)
Might be the " Gold PLATED Standard"
Ego OR Riva--OR Echo's are sounding pretty good.

Hmm... So all of the g400 cartos you recieved with the unit have an a super-stiff draw? Is it really really bad to the point that it's unusable or do you think some people might like the stiffer draw? I must say I'm disappointed to hear this, cuz greencig is supposed to be the "gold standard" for quality ecigs.... :(
