Good morning everyone!

Greetings from the most overhyped football country in the world!

Just discovered/invested in the world of E-Cigs and I have a question.

I bought an 'E-Health Cigarette'.

I was told:

It would take 30 minutes to charge.
That a cartridge was the equivalent of a pack of 20 cigarettes.

What I've found:

It takes 2 hours to charge and lasts less than this.
A cartridge lasts about the equivalent of a pack of maybe 10 or less.

Is this normal? Or are these rubbish? It cost me £20 which was a basic starter pack with 10 cartridges.

Cheers!

Depending on what you have, most batteries should last you more then a half hour. I had a Blu kit when I first started. Those batteries didn't last very long, I'm a heavy vaporer! I now use the XL Kr808, I can get a good 3 hours out of that. Many people on here get long life out of the Ego, and seem to like it. That's on my want list!!!
Most vendors tell you that 1 cart is the equivalent of a pack of cigs. I've never found that to be true. The cheapest option for me is to fill the things myself!

Welcome to the forum!
Sounds like you, unfortunately, were scammed. (Wondered as much when I saw the word "Health" in the name.) At least it seems to have brought you to the right place though.

I was lucky and found this forum before I laid out any cash. But I still spent some time (and money) learning what flavors I liked and getting the setup I needed for my personal habit.

Look around... read the "Wonderful World of vaping" (Found in the library link at the top of this area).... ask questions... and have fun!

I started with the Joye 510 kit. Have since moved on to the Joye eGo and Riva e-cigs which use all of the 510 atomizers, cartridges and cartomizers. I'm a pretty heavy user and the eGo and Riva have great battery life (for me, 6 to 8 hours per charge vs. about an hour and half with the 510). The eGo and Riva kits come with a higher capacity charger which will recharge their batteries in about 2 hours. The chargers are the only accessory that I've found I can't interchange between the 510 and the eGo/Riva.

As for the juice, I stopped using the pre-filled cartridges and cartomizers after a week or so since I found I liked my own flavors and re-filling the cartridges and cartomizers is really easy once you have learned how. (BTW, the "condom method" for refilling cartomizers is great and gives you a nice long vape time between refills)

Welcome and good luck!
Rich

Hello White! You weren't scammed... The e-Health is probably a 401. The super mini models are used by many (and is usually someone's first e-cig, as they are marketed in more shops and on line and look the most like a real ciggy). Not the best model out there, but certainly are usable models. Most of us keep one around for a back-up after we buy something new.

You can identify yours by comparing here:
M401

If it is a M401 or M4XX series (they all work together) you can find more information in this part of the forum:
M-401/402 "Mini" & M403 Super Mini - E-Cigarette Forum

The 401 is a great model for dripping liquid on the atomizer bridge (not refilling the tiny cartridges at all) or dipping into a small container when at home (I used a contact lens case for the liquid and dipped the atomizer bridge into the liquid). Much easier than the fiddly little cartridges.

After you've given it a go, if you decide to purchase something else you can start with this good thread: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...buying-using-electronic-cigarette-primer.html and also http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...st-electronic-cigarette-first-time-vaper.html

White, I don't know if you were "scammed" technically. You WERE lied to and probably over charged (I was). The E-Health was the first one I ordered and I discovered that it is indeed a 401 clone. Not a very good one at that. There's so many different models and companies out there that it's nearly impossible to sort through for the uninitiated.
In my experience the best 3 models to choose from when starting out are the Joye 510, the DSE 901 and the kr808D-1 2-piece. You may want to move on to one of these. That's what I did. I kept the E-Health to use as a decoration for the top of my supply box and a testament to my progress.

Hi All,

Many thanks for your helpful replies.

Further woe. I fully charged it last night for two hours. I put a brand new cartridge on and used it sparingly. Lasted about two hours..... :-(

I emailed the sellers and surprise surprise, they've not got back to me. Anyone wanting to avoid them in the UK should be weary of icantbelieveitsnotacigarette dot co dot uk. I believe it is an M401 clone....

Anyway, after reading some of the guides, I think I'd like to invest in an KR808-D. Trouble is, I like in the UK, not sure it's called that here?

Greetings from the most overhyped football country in the world!

Are you referring to futball?

Take the filler out of your cartridge. Cut off a little more than half its length. Fill the cartridge most of the way with e-liquid. Put the small piece of filler back in and top it off with a few drops of e-liquid. The filler shouldn't look dry or wet, but should look like a "slushy." Drop a couple of drops of e-liquid on the bridge of the atomizer. Put the cartidge back on the atomizer, and vape, vape, vape! When you start getting less vapor and the vapor begins to burn your throat, you need more juice. Remove the filler and add juice to the cart. Put a couple of drops of juice on the bridge of the atomizer. Put the cart back on the atty and vape.

You will need more than one battery for this to work out. I have two Joye eGos. The eGo has a much larger battery (it doesn't look like a cigarette) which lasts about 7 hours. By doing the cart mod I mentioned above, I need to refill the cart 4 or 5 times per day (but I'm also still smoking the occasional ciggy). I seriously doubt that a full cart is anywhere near equivalent to a pack of cigarettes.

btw, credit Highping for the above-described cart mod.

Welcome, and happy vaping!

Yes White, cartomisers can be refilled with any e-liquid. The best method of doing so is called the "condom (or cap) method" I'll find you a link to a video to show you how it's done.

I've not actually tried Liberty-Flights e-liquid, though I've heard it's more than fine. My favourite UK seller of e-liquid (juice) is Paradise Vapes :

There is another current thread bout the health- e-cig. I also started out w/ this. Mine worked fine for awhile but payed WAY to much. The batts died after a month. It is like a m401 but the atty bridge is narrower. Like I said, worked fine, but then both batts died.

I moved on to m401s and love them. Good batt time and life, good flavor, good atty life. I do have my eve on an Ego or Riva though.
