KR8 batteries can last up to six hours, but I found that mine lasted more like 3-4. The cartos will go out pretty quickly. I was refilling about 10 times a day (and I was only a pack a day smoker). The KR8s are convenient and were great for helping me make the initial switch to vaping but I'm much happier with my Tornado/eGo.

No I have not. I guess I'm trying to get away from filler. I may end up going the cartos route. less hassle.

Cartos still have filler in them. I didn't find them any easier to use than carts in all honesty. If you're really trying to get away from filler, direct dripping might be the choice for you.

i would like to know more about the808 sold by cig easy for those that use it
most importantly how long does a new cartomizer last? is it a half pack worth of cigs or so?
also i think i ran across somewhere in this forum that the 808 battery lasts 6 hours. is this correct?
thanks in advance.

I didn't order mine from cigeasy but my KR808D-1 from Vapor4Life is fabulous - and my manual XL batteries last for at least 6 hours.

The cartomizers hold about 1ml of e-juice, which is a full day's worth of vaping for some people. I rotate my flavors so I have no specific answer for how long a filled carto lasts, but I do know that it is quite a while.

1- what is the lifespan of an atomizer and how do you know when it has pooped out?
The lifespan of the atomizer is anywhere from DOA to months and months and months.

It also depends greatly on whether or not you want to deal with cleaning them.
Many people don't, and many people do, and you'll get ALL kinds of opinions.

If you clean them right they should definitely last longer.

Many people don't care, and find they last plenty long enough to not hassle with it.
But it turns out the very best way to clean them is actually no hassle whatsoever.

Check out this thread for detailed information...

2-what is the lifespan of the battery and how do you know when this has pooped out?
If you get one with a LED you will know it's dead because the light doesn't work.

Others will have to tell you how long they last because I switched to bigger batteries.
Mine were going strong after a few months before I made the switch though.

Hi Acorn & everyone. I am new here too. Researched this forum myself and decided on the KR808D with the manual battery. My roommate purchased the same kit with the Automatic so I've tried both.

Personally, I like the manual better. I think I can get a more substantial drag that reminds me of an old analog cig from the manual. The automatic seems to require a "priming" puff to get it started. If I only have a short amount of time I can get several deep drags off my manual and be satisfied for a good amount of time. This seems harder to do on the automatics.

Both of these styles of batteries have been very long-lasting for us. I was concerned about short battery life too. So far, I have no complaints. I have 2 batteries and charge one in the evening every day. The battery usually lasts the whole day for me now.

I love vaping & I want to help spread the word to others like me who had never even heard of em before!

what is a pass through battery?

A pass through is a PV that connects directly to a USB port. This saves your batteries when you're near a computer (though some people recommend not using a pass through on a computer's USB port because of the high current draw. they recommend getting a 5v 2A wall adapter. mapvapes.com sells one of these for around $10). Some pass throughs have an inline battery that gets charged as you use it.

This may be what they sold you, but it's hard to tell from the description on their site.

kr808d-1 ...get a manual battery and also manual passthrough...get quality cartos (like the turbo cartomizers vapornine.com sells)...trust me - don't skimp on the cartos ! ...this is the perfect e-cig to start off with. The 510 also i hear is great ! (I don't have one so can't really comment on the 510) ...either one is a great way to join the vaping club...once you do you need to have that personal commitment to your self to quit smoking! If you don't have that (in your head) commitment to quit then it really means nothing on which one you end up choosing...trust me though it's ridiculously easy to quit when you commit to vaping !

GOOD LUCK !

Actually, while that may be true for many, it is also equally true that for many people, they didn't even have to try to quit smoking for that to happen with electronic cigarettes.

This forum is full of people relating stories of not even intending to quit and just finding one day that they no longer wanted, needed, or cared for cigarettes anymore.

I agree DC2. What I mean by "being committed" more pertains to maintenance, backups, and having plenty of supplies at your ready (at all times). I've read many here that have said they had to go and buy a pack of smokes because they let their PV supplies run dry.

One does (usually) reach a point where having a real smoke (once in a while) is no big deal... but I do believe it's equally important (especially at the beginning) to be well stocked up to control those inevitable temptations.

well my 808 has shipped from cig easy
a question. to just order the batteries i see they come in "xl" size or something, what does this mean and what is the difference between xl and the other sizes of 808 batteries?
The XL are extra large, so they are bigger and last longer.

Simply put, the XL batteries are longer than the regular and shorties. They last a lot longer than the shorter one and they are more powerful, so they vape better. Having said this, I know that some people prefer the shorter, less powerful batteries. Like e-juice flavors and strengths, it depends upon individual preference.

Hello, Just starting out, I have spent a week in this forum, I think I have decided on the KR808D-1, I have yet to order as I am trying to find the best supplier... But I am also a 1 pack a day for 30 yrs of Benson and hedges lights......I am looking for a very low mg Cart and eventually 0 mg...Besides what you get in the starter kit....Does anyone know if there is a vender that sells a variety of carts at low or 0 mg.

As a new vaper, and a broke vaper, I went as cheap as possible when trying my first e-cig and it turned out to be my most favorite so far. I got the e-Health cig EC-509. It charges via USB that slides out the bottom of the black hard plastic "cigarette pack" style box. The starter kit costs $15-$40 depending on the website (DinoDirect has them for $15, but they have very SLOW but free shipping). Replacement cartridges are easy to find online for it. I love this one.

the one i am going to try that has all the way down to 0mg nicotine is vaporbomb. i think they carry their stock in 8-4-0 mg gradations for the lower level of nicotine.

by the way it is now august 03 and i have had the kr808 now for three weeks and have not had a real cigarette since my first puff on the ecigarette. really not much of an effort switching to ecigs from real cigs. the trick seems to be make sure you get enough nicotine from the ecig.
