Hello to all Reonauts. New and proud owner of a LP REO Grand applying for a visa to Reoville.

I thought I'd drop a line here and introduce myself. I'm a retired 62 year old who smoked at least a pack of stinkies a day for 35 long years. I knew that for me smoking until the end of my days was something inevitable and dreaded but was powerless to really do anything about. Lack of willpower or testicles? I came upon vaping purely by accident 6 months ago and haven't touched a coffin nail since, a 99% painless transition. I became completely and totally absorbed by this new and healthier lifestyle and I ain't looking back.

I've been enjoying my REO for the last four days after finally biting the bullet on what was for me a significant purchase. Like probably most of you I was always looking at all the new and shiny bits of gear that seemed to arrive on a daily basis. Checking out the reviews on Youtube or online always had me salivating and lusting over the latest and greatest products. I'm the kinda guy who, before buying something new, spends two months doing the research on whatever has caught my eye. No spur of the moment and regret it later buying from this rookie squonker (such a cool term). Somewhere, someplace, I can't really remember I came across a reference to bottom-feeding REOS and was instantly intrigued. A month later I was sold and a month after that I'd accumulated the necessary $$$ to add it to my cart.

So after using this little beauty for a very short while I thought I'd give you my first impressions.

- Right out of the box I could tell that this was a solid well-made device. Smaller than I thought but a good kind of smaller. I have medium-sized hands and it fits very nicely in the palm with a comfortable texture ( I have the silver vein), no slippy, shiny tubes here, with my pinky supporting underneath and my thumb ready to fire or squonk, when I do remember to.

- A brilliant concept, the joys, pleasures and benefits of dripping without the accompanying hassles. And for me those hassles were something I could never get comfortable with and I do own a quality RDA. I've been using a Kayfun almost from day one and can enjoy a satisfying vaping experience with it. Which brings me to my only little beef to date and it's totally on me... I often forget to squonk  and you all know what happens next, bleccchhhh. With tank RBA's, when it's set up correctly you can vape without thinking so yes, facepalm, facepalm, facepalm. Learning curve required here to get the squonk timing down right.

- The device itself is a jewel of craftsmanship and ingenuity, there's no denying that. I also believe much depends on the atomizer you put on top of it and how you set it up to get the results required for a truly remarkable and fulfilling vape. I had ordered a BF Cyclone and it arrived long before the REO did. That was how convinced I was that I was going to become a Reonaut. I think I must have built half a dozen different coils without ever firing any of them up. Now in the four days with a REO sitting underneath it I'm sure I've tinkered and toyed with as many builds just to see what each one offered and the differences between them. Some really outstanding sessions in the past little while for this rookie squonker (that word again):).

To sum it up, so far so good. I'm liking it a lot and it's definitely a keeper. Function and form in a tight little bundle. 'Nuff said, a happy camper looking to get my passport stamped and granted access to Reoville. :)

Welcome to the mad house of happy vapers Coop. Congrats on the Silver Vein. If you want to keep it shiny hit it with some clear coat. It will tarnish in time and turn black. Mine did and like you it was my first. Almost a year and 12 Reos later it vapes better than when I got it thanks to Rob listening to the throat burners and making the sub ohm kit.
