    Hello all!

After two failed attempts (first Aspire K4, then Justfog Minifit without Nicsalts), this one finally made the transition 2 years later. With Jf Minifit*20mg Nicsalt I got the satisfaction and started also enjoying the Aspire K4*3mg regNic (but only at home as it leaks and too big). The pupose of Minifit is the Nic, the purpose of the K4 is to vape with low nic (for to satisfy the habit when i need to 'smoke' but don't want more nic).
    Happy to join the cloud!

Not sure if I can delve right into the questions here or should go to relevant thread. I will post a more detailed one there. I have found someone with a similar goal, though with older gear and some differences:
Will the Aspire Nautilus fit the iStick Pico?
Looking now to have something with the dual function, to gradually lower the nicotine while shifting the settings to keep things cofortable and satisfying. In other words, I am seeking to have something that can do both 20mg Nicsalt and Subohm.
Size (averse to large devices) and leakage are priorities. So is ease of filling and coil replacement. In addition, if possible, I would like to exclusively keep with salts (even as I lower the nic).

The boys at the store recommended istick pico + nautilus 2s. Thoughts?

    Thanks and, again, hello!

Those 22 & 23 #'s are probably the width of the tank. The tank to mod connection (510 threaded, male on tank, female on mod) will fit, but the tank may 'overhang' a bit if its' width is too large. For some this is purely an aesthetic issue, for others its' a deal-breaker. All but one of my RTA's are 22mm and the one 25mm tank that I have won't 'fit' on my Pico because of tank/battery cap conflicts. Since you have a Pico, I hope you can understand or figure out what I mean by that.

DOn't have a Pico yet... again: I'm just graduating from Aspire K4 for light 3mg nic/long vaping at home + Justfog Minifit 20mg for most of the day outside and morning. Pico + S2 is just the combo the guy at the store recommended (but they have missed before, like thinking 20mg nicsalt can go into subohm)

If i am using incorrect terminology with regard to fitting, I am open to enlightenemnt. The fitting of the male/female (I assumed you mean the screw tip) is a worry indeed, but I was rather referring to the battery/tank issue. Since the tank will fit from its middle 23/2 into the mod and the mod's female is in the middle of the space next to the battery 22/2 I am worried the tank won't go in in the first place. I saw the pic of the mod with its ... I just found an answer in the affirmative

I wonder if you've also seen my other thread? it has more detailed questions.
istick pico and nautilus 2 S, options and alternatives?

Appreciate the help. I need to kind of hurry and buy something as I am out coils for the K4, lowering the nicsalt on Minifit isn't giving me the right hit and there's a short term discount on all their stuff as they're shifting to online business....

You might want to consider the Innokin Zenith (or the Zlide, which uses the same coils) in place of the Nautilus 2s. The Nautilus series used to be the top choice for MTL vaping, but it's been overtaken by the Zlide over the last year or so. If I remember correctly, the Zenith might be too wide for the Pico but the Zlide comes in a 22 mm version (the Zlide 2, as opposed to the Zlide 4, which is 24 mm).

As for the Pico, it's a bit dated but there's nothing wrong with it (apart from the cap getting in the way of larger tanks). I'd recommend looking at a few mods. See if the store will let you hold them, because you'll want something that's comfortable in your hand.

Which new mods (small / compact) would you recommend suitable for Zlide & Zenith 4ml tanks

I’m getting in on this one a bit late, but I’ll see if I can still provide anything useful.
A 510 connector looks like this:
    upload_2019-11-6_9-15-35.jpeg

it’s what connects the tank (also called atty or atomizer) to the mod (also called battery if the mod does not have removable batteries) “510” refers specifically to the diameter and thread pitch of the screw. It’s an old standard. There used to be a bunch of others as well but they mostly died out.

If you get the nautilus make sure you get the 2S. It's the newest version and the best (IMHO).

I would not get the picol, personally. With the battery cap it will be a tight fit and just a PITA.

I have seen the Aspire Pegasus on sale multiple places like VapeNW I think and well, it's an external battery mod that would fit your Nautilus. It's a bit hard on batteries because it has a potentiator but it is kind of a nice vape, I personally always thought, especially for the price. Could have been vaporDNA who was selling it on clearance.

Otherwise, I would recommend the Geekvape Solo mod, its a lovely mod and totally durable, shock proof, waterproof and etc. You can probably find a reasonable deal online. It's not super tiny but it Is fairly light.

    Best of luck,
    Anna

@stols001 the thread is confusing at this point. My original question concerning pico-size-mods + N2S is moot. Hence forth it's @Sunny Rai 's question of what compact Mod to fit his already owned 4ml Zlide. Seeing as it is 24mm wide, it would be tight indeed, if it fits at all, with Eleaf Pico, Vaporesso Swag or this type of small, single-battry mods with upper cap, unless there it's a little larger, which others should suggest.

@bombastinator I'm confused. How does the adapter fit into this?

@Sunny Rai at the time of this and the other thread (a week or so ago) I kept insisting on maximum compactness issue (it became a punch-line at some point). Had i been a little more flexible (accepting suggestions 75-90mm), i might have perhaps got something wide enough, or without a battery cap to fit a 4ml/+23mm tank. But I jumped from insisting on 70mm and under to being tempted by cooler devices.
i started learning / took into consideration: the size of tank, the battery size and its exchangeability, and the durability of material (that last one, because i found, i think it Invoke which is 2 baterries, but plastic). And I saw UWell Nunchaku 2, which fit the larger batteries, goes up to a hundred watts and whose tank (if you get the complete kit) has a cool liquid recycling tech and well... daddy went nanners. (I convinced myself as well that, being a tube-type, at least it is thinner, if not short). I also realized that the more I lowered the nicotine the more i geared toward airier and thicker inhalation, so I wanted something that would provide more options. I ordered Nunchaku 2 kit + the Zlide 4ml tank, instead of the original project of getting the Vaporesso Swag mod (the newest, best of the Pico size family_ but not with its kit-tank) + 2ml Zlide (which would fit these types of small mods with the battery cap limiting the tank width).
That having been said, I go back to my earlier point that it seems i limited what the people here could suggest to me by insisting on the 70mm size. Since ordering the much larger, 100mm, Nunchaku 2, I keep coming across mod that are smaller, not tube-style, that seem to be no more than 90mm long, which sounds very reasonable indeed. Some might even be smaller, but perhaps did not occur to the fellows or i don't recall them now (the other thread had a lot of such suggestions, check it out). I saw a couple like the Invoke, which seemed to be simply a small box with two batteries and nothing else, Don't know what they were or if they're any good.
It is obvious external and larger battery is more flexible, durable and has a longer life. But I am sure you're not decided, nor know if you should care on whether the battery is built-in or not, and on whether to care about battery size/number if it is external_ Having not yet tried how long the battery last during the day, I have no idea. But I would note that, being mostly MTLers, we consume less power.
My suggestion is to make a new thread in the APV and Mod Discussion, asking your same question with whatever other requirements you think you need; in addition to compactness, perhaps ease-of-use, etc. to use mod to get for 24mm tanks, that you have the Zlide and mostly MTL, and do not wish to have to build or play with the hardware. I am sure recommenders will mention battery issues and durability. I trust you're copying the name of any device suggested, that seems promising, and 'googling' it, until you find the page with most specifications and also checking out youtube reviews (some names of popular reviewers were suggested by @Katya in the other thread). If the research is not enjoyable (i got hooked on it quite quickly, but maybe i'm over-starved since i've been relatively free from consumerism) and you;re short on time, go with one of the clearly solid, new suggestions by one of the veterans. You won;t get all your desires across in one post, but it won't have to take as long as it did with yours truly.

What adaptor? You mean the parts sittin next to the pictured device? Those are parts OF the device. The one with the male screw thread is a spare bottom of the atty pictured, and the female one is a spare of the top of the mod. It’s to show you what they look like apart and together. Those bits together ARE the 510 connector on the device.
Extras of them anyway. Shown for reference.

@bombastinator i get that. i'm wondering abt the very topic of threads and adapters (unless i;m missing something and you're showing an unnamed device and the adapter issue is not the point)),,, what is it in reference to?
I got the impression that there was confusion about what a 510 connector was. I was trying to clear that up. No confusion, no problem.
