Griffin 25 Plus pouring juice out of the bottom air flow

Ok here we go again. Took it all apart, washed it in hot water, rewicked it, put it all back together again, starting with the chamber and torqued it on as tight as I could get it, with just my hands. I was temped to use a tool but thought better of it. I might try taking the rubber on the bottom of the deck off and just dry fit the chamber on it, to really feel the treads all the way down. But for now I put about 2.5 ml in and let it sit with the juice flow closed for 10 min. then opened juice flow 1/4 way for 10 min. Then all the way for 10mins. Put it on the Alien and works great. It really does work dam well too!! I have a twisted dual coil made with 3 strains of 26g kanthal and 7 wraps on a 3mm screwdriver. It's chucking massive clouds and the flavor is on point, no burnt hits. Tricky enough to wick but I think I have it now. When you get it wicking right it will eat up tanks of juice. I just wish I could get it to stop dumping.
Wish me luck ;)

Ok....update on the Griffin 25 plus. I 90% sure this is whats happening. The first time I filled it the chamber didn't set all the way to the bottom of the deck, because the o ring was not tight to the deck it was stuck on the first thread. Then when I tightened it damaged the o ring. I saw the damage and replaced it with one from of the spares. Then I did it a second time just to a less degree. Conclusion there is alot riding on the o ring. Be very careful looking everything over the first time after washing for defects in threads and o rings. I started rubbing juice on the o ring that seals the chamber to the deck. Haven't had a problem after that.
Thanks again for all the help and I hope the my problem helps someone. :)

If you can wick a Griffin then every RTA purchase after will be a breeze. I may be saying that because the Griffin was my first RTA and it took me about a month to get really comfortable and confident in wicking it. You can watch hours of videos but they are only a guide.

Most leaks are caused by user error in wicking, second would be o-rings. Lastly, once you get it wicked right, you get a 3 days to a week of use depending on how many mods you have in rotation before it will start to leak. This is because of the cotton or wicking material breaking down.

It looks like you narrowed it down to an o-ring? But a few pointers based on some of your post.
-The Griffin is not a pocket friendly mod. If you carry in your pocket and are moving around a lot, close the juice flow and air flow. When you pull it out of your pocket take a few dry pulls to make sure vacuum is restored.
-Do not fill it to the top. Make sure your juice flow is closed when filling. After filling and opening the juice flow, take a few dry pulls to restore vacuum.
-When you start to notice some weeping around the air flow holes it is getting close to time to rewick.

If you are a new vapor or intermediate, never give up on a tank in the first day. Or the first week. There is a learning curve to every mod or atty you buy. I cursed the Griffin for 3 weeks straight until I finally got it right. There were times I would let it sit for a day or two before going back to it to try again. In the end it became and still is one of my favorite tanks.

Great post TheTinMan!! One of my biggest problems was that I quit smoking just 14 days before the Griffin 25 plus arrived. That time was a nerve racking period for me, patience was at an all time low. :)

Totally understandable. I still get frustrated with some attys. Some have been boxed up and some have been traded.

Just got the Griffin 25 Plus today, had my coils all ready. Watched countless videos on building and wicking. Got the coils in and wicked not too much was looking pretty good to me. Primed the coils got it all together, opened up the juice control and air control. I hit that bad boy,1,2,3 times. Looked at it and 3/4 of the tank of juice is running down my hand. ........ WHY????? In all the video I've watched not one said anything about not opening the juice control. EVERY one of them said this is the greatest tank ever "No Leaking"..... Easiest tank to wick. How could I trust this thing as an everyday addy that I carry in a pocket? I just don't get it, I'm I doing something wrong? This is my life now being covered in juice all day. I fluffing hate being covered in juice.
Sorry for the rant quit smoke 18 days ago, cranky is not the word for my mood. I could kill someone with my bear hands for looking at my wrong. No joke
Now I'm going back to all those videos and post warning that these tanks will leak BADLY.
never have leaks from mine... My best guess was you cut the wicks way too short

My Griffin 22mm came in a couple of days ago. When I get a chance to fool around with it I'll test it and try for an MTL vape at 10W. I'm a flavor chaser, not a cloud chaser, and it was recommended as a good flavor tank.

After reading more about it the Griffin 22mm looks like a cloud tank that also does MTL. It may not live to replace any of my Kayfuns, but for $14.95 and free shipping it was a deal.

To me the Griffins blow dense flavorful clouds. One of my favorite RTAs, still.
