Ive got Herakles Plus for now but I want to get an RTA just so I can build my own coils and possibly just for cloud chasing...It seems that Griffin is an awesome tank but it costs like 35$ on fasttech. The clone costs like 12$. Is there anyone who could tell me what I could expect from clones? I mean, I know the color will be craptastic most likely and the threads wont be that smooth but I don't care about that. From the pictures I noticed a few minor differences but nothing major. What could be the weakspot of clone?

Every device is different. I have some clones that are indistinguishable from the authentics, some that are actually better, and some that are complete <self-censored> garbage.
It's a roll of the dice.
However, it's only a $12 roll (and a months wait).

Personally I would buy an authentic, but it would not be a griffin. The Aromamizer Supreme and Boreas are where it's at right now.
I know, not really answering your question, sorry LOL. I do have an authentic griffin and I don't use it really as my older Lemo 2 vapes better. I do have more experience with the Lemo 2 so that might be a factor.
For the price of an authentic, I just don't think clones are worth it and would 100% rather support manufacturers who release affordable authentic gear.

Yeah, thats what people say. Looked at reviews and even there people say the same. And friend told me the same - if its only 12$ then go for it, worst case scenario - sell it for the same to someone. And I don't intend it as my daily driver anyway.
I think I would go the same route for most of the stuff like mods and electronics in general but since this is more like a piece of metal it couldn't go wrong many ways, at least I hope so. Aromamizer Supreme and Boreas is too expensive for me because for now at least Im keeping my Herakles Plus as the main tank.
the Griffin Clones on FT look as though they could be made at the same factory and just not branded, saves a few bucks. this is happening alot, the clones and authentics are coming out of the same factory so done be scared of that "styled" tag on them, its the same quality. wish you the best on your vape adventure
If the difference between a clone and an authentic is $50+ that's one thing, if it's only a few tens of dollars then it's usually worth stumping up the cash.

I really doubt the rumors of clones being made in the same factory as authentics are true. Where do you get this information? They are clones, so no doubt they would look similar. I do see some differences. Look at the 510 pin on the clone vs Authentic.
I Actually get a denser vape with the Lemo 2 and it wicks better. I've had my Lemo 2 for like a year and griffin for less then a month so I have not had much time playing with the Griffin though. I do remember when I first got my griffin that I had a build that was killer. Have not been able to replicate this though.

im looking at machine quality/marks and they look dead on. stuff like that pin why would you use the higher dollar one, grab one out of a different parts bin to save money, thats what a cheaper version is about after all. the factories that machine this are not owned buy the company selling the product, I.E. Kanger, Geekvape, Aspire. so if you're machining these parts and the only money you make is buy selling machined parts you want to sell as many machined parts to as many customers as you can. they may not be assembled in the same factory, but im sure they are machined in the same one on alot of these clones.

Authentic or clone with a 20 dollar difference? Really? Do yourself a favor and buy the authentic. First of all if you think both are made equal, they are not, you get what you pay for, period. You buy a clone and most likely it will not perform to your liking and you will say , in the end, "man I should of just put in the extra cash for the real thing" instead you have a device your using as a paper weight. At least with an authentic, you can sell it and make most of your money back. Just save an extra week and purchase the real thing, that week being the extra money you would of saved buying cigarettes. Also, by buying an authentic, you aren't supporting rip offs, that steal designs for profit. If you were needing to buy a new cell phone would you buy an aple instead of an apple? Or a samsing instead of a samsung? Just to save 20 bucks, I don't think so... why is buying garbage clones soo accepted in vaping, and not anywhere else? You may get lucky here and there with clones, but for the most part it pays to save and buy quality gear, not only in vaping, but in life in general. Sorry for my rant, I just hate clones and what they stand for and the one time I did purchase one, it was garbage. In the end it's a decision that's up to you and good luck

Would you please take the anti-clone discussion elsewhere. It is of no help to the op and is quite disruptive. Start a new authentic vs clone thread if you feel like arguing the issue - and that goes for both sides.

The OP was asking about clones and all I said was that they are made perfect these days. I am a big clone user and can give the OP good information here. This should not need to be moderated as it is for the OP.

I got a Griffin clone from Fasttech today (sku 4450600). I've only just built it and vaped half a tank, and I don't have an authentic to compare to, but I'll give my thoughts anyway.
The negatives: The grub screws aren't the best, but I'm used to that. I'll change them out (as I usually do). One of the post holes was drilled a bit off but works fine. The afc is a bit crunchy, but works fine.
Other than that the tank is really good. The threading is smooth and there are no major flaws. I'm sure the authentic wouldn't have the negatives mentioned above, but at $12 compared to $35-40 I'm glad I bought the clone. I'm in a situation in my life where wasting $30-40 on an atty that I don't like is too much, and if I can get a working clone for $20-30 cheaper than an authentic it's definitely worth it.
Hope the op has some help from this, and that we can keep the bickering out of the thread.

There was no bickering. It was a typical thread that meandered but there was no bickering or fighting. Not then, not now.
I have not had a griffin clone, but I've had other velocity style deck clones, all have the same problem with the screw holes and grubs.
One out of 4 always seem to be stripped or doesn't hold securely.
My authentic griffin doesn't have that problem, but I don't like the grubs it came with. But I ordered the slotted replacement screws from vaping walrus and those have been working perfectly, although I wish the slots weren't as wide as they are. Still better over the grubs

I also need to get some slotted screws. It's difficult to find ones that are slotted and headless though.
