Hello everyone,
I was just wondering is the Griffin RTA safe to use with SMPL mod, or any other mech mod with hybrid top cap? There was an image on the internet showing the breakdown of this tank, and I saw "Adjustable positive pole". I was planning to use it with my SMPL SS clone, but I'm not exactly sure if it's 100% safe.
Already ordered it, so it'd be a shame if it had to sit on the shelf n wait for a better mod :D

Thanks in advance

It depends on how far out it can be adjusted. If you can get clearance from the outer 510 threads, it will be as safe as anything on a faux hybrid. As me, there is no safe atty to use on one. When you get your hands on it, adjust the pin out as far as it will go, post a pic, and then ask. Looking at the Geek Vape site, it appears to be threaded all the way up, but that doesn't indicate how far out it will go. Welcome to the board.

Short answer is no.

First off anything involving a lithium battery I wouldn't describe as safe.
Second, add in a mech mod, that takes you further down the rabbit hole.
Third, add in a fakebrid like the smpl and now you're on the yellow brick road.

If the tank has adjustable centerpin, and you unscrew it part way so that it sticks out, the question is when you are screwing things together, is that centerpin going to end up screwing back in and shorting out the top of the battery.
