The doctor's is the best place to start, we vapers do still get colds and flu...:)

If the doc gives you a clean bill of health, vape-wise, be sure to drink enough water.
The vapor is being produced partially from water drawn from your body.

And if you can try a few days vaping just PG liquids and see if it changes, listen to your body.
Myself, I've found PG less harsh on my throat but every vaper can react differently.

A change in flavors can also have an effect on your throat, a simple flavor switch may help.

But in the meantime, I recommend you try some of those wonderful Biotene mouth products:

Biotene Dry Mouth Products

They are great at keeping your mouth well hydrated. Vaping is notoriously dehydrating, especially this time of year. And drink plenty of water; coffee and sodas don't count--if anything, they can may things worse.
