Ditto to tj99959

What part of the experience are you trying to improve? It sounds like you just need a new toy! In that case they are all good because they will just be tossed aside soon, anyway.

Keep in mind that a PV only supplies electricity. Most of them do that quite well!

Relax, Enjoy!
This is good to point out! As for me, I am planning on upgrading from an ego 900mah to a Twist in the near future! (Just waiting on my vendor to get them in stock now) I have been very happy with the 900 but I have juices that I want to play with at different power levels (my main reason for wanting a Twist)

Now THAT is a sharp setup there. Would you recommend getting 4 batteries if I'm only going to have one mod? I was thinking three personally; one in the device, two always charged and ready to go. That's just a generic eGo case eh? That's pretty nice how that all just fits in like that.

Edit: The general consensus seems to be "Get a Provari. It's the last device you'll ever need" Seems like it isn't any different than when I started a month ago :p

Thanks for the comment. I do take a little pride in finding pratical accessories for my gear.

Three batteries would suffice for one mod. I happened to get 2 of the 18490 batteries for the basic Provari 2 for when I want to go out "short", and 4 - 18650 batteries for the SB and extended (cap) Provari to share between. That cuts down on the different size batteries I need to carry.

The case is actually from Smokeless Image, for their Volt X2 (ego size batteries). I started my vaping journey with them. I like this case over the others I've seen on the market because the webbed pockets all open the same way on both side of the case.

I also have room in my carrying bag for another little find - a homemade tank organizer I found at Hobby Lobby. It was meant to be a mini-tool case for sewing supplies...lol.

You. I like you. You (and others in this thread) very well may have convinced me to go Provari. It's a bit earlier than I expected, but it really looks like you can't go wrong if you're enjoying your vaping experience.

All the VV devices have ruined plain single-cell mods for me..... I don't use a regular 3.7v device with even LR attys, I'm spoiled by regulated voltage throughout the charge of the battery. The twist is a great device, just not long enough battery life for some- for me (I have the medium size mAh ones) its good. The newest version lavatubes have a higher amp limit supposedly. I have an original lavatube, and its a good device, long batt life with the AW 18650, but if I use dual coils (rarely) if you set it to a voltage higher than it can supply, it just knocks it down to what it can do. If you don't really use dual coils, and just want a bigger battery, lavatube is ok. It also gives you a little more adjustment for voltage- 3-6v instead of 3.2-4.8v. I don't know what LTs go for these days, but the smok tech vmax seems to have a lot of fans, and at $90(I think), might be a good choice.
I am interested in eventually getting a mod also; just not yet since I have only been vaping for a couple of months. I have been looking at mods and saw a couple that are pretty neat...the Empire (because its USA made and mechanichal--meaning reliable with less parts to break) which is actually a telescoping unit, allowing you to use two different sizes of batteries; and also the Chuck which looks very durable!

hey guys, i have a KGO right now, my 2nd one just took a crap on me, and im wanting to get something else. Im looking at the twists until i can afford to take that plunge into the provari. Is that what you would suggest? Ive been following the thread and i wish i had the cash to jump to the provari straight away, but i dont....

I would go with Ego C twists. I'm not married to provape, but if you are going to buy an APV, I would get an American made APV.

I LOVE my Twists. But I think my complaint extends to the KGO models as well; they don't feel cheap, but they definitely can't take a hit. I feel like it's akin to a Junior High Football player getting tackled by a College Player; it isn't going to end pretty.

As I said earlier, I don't need something that's going to be indestructible; just something that takes a hit. If you're cautious, they are an absolutely WONDERFUL device. A great introduction to the VV world.

The Twist is probably perfect to get a taste and feel to find out if a variable voltage mod is right for you. I had been content vaping on my Silver Bullet and BB at 3.7v. But a long visit at a nearby AltSmoke store convinced me that there is something more to get out of vaping than an unregulated tube mod. The owner let me vape my own juices on my own SB first with a 5v nimh battery, and then with a Kick and extension added on. It was so sweet, I couldn't believe that my own juice flavors could taste better. And the vapor...OMG!

Preach! Where were you a week ago when I needed you Reverend?
I was busy buying the Blu, then the Joye 510, then the passthrough, then the eGo Twists and finally the ProVari. And wasting money.

ETA: I still use the Twists, love them for on the go. The others are going to go to friends who want to start out. Had I had the knowledge I would have gone straight to the ProVari with all the money I spent, so if the guy has the means why should he go through what I went through when his own words pretty much sum it up.

You have a year on me. I did all of that in my first month and a half in search of the unit that would keep me off cigarettes

I've gone from 808 Volt mini-batteries to the Volt X2's, to a BB and Silver Bullet, to a Provari in a little over 4 months time.

A friend now has the mini's, my son uses my X2's. I still use all three of my big battery mods, but the Provari has been getting about 80% of my attention. Anyone who now owns a Provari probably looks back and wonders what took them so long to get one.

I think the new lavatube looks fantastic and they seemed to have addressed all the issues that the previous model had. No top/bottom cap, blue screen, increased amp limit, etc. not to mention the kit only costs 109 with a true aw imr and am xtar(I believe) charger.

This was why I was looking at the Lavatube as a "middle ground" to the Provari. But as many others have said in this thread, I'll more than likely end up with a Provari at some point anyways so why wait? I've got the disposable income right now. My only thing would be that I can't hold it in my hand first. This was okay with the Twists since the investment was miniscule, but the Provari is hefty investment.

Now, I suppose my question is... Is there such a thing as a 510-> Ego adapter? I have some T2s I love to vape with, and I wouldn't want to see them go quite yet. (Now, I do have 2 Novas and they are SUPERIOR in every way IMO) Or would a short 510->510 adapter work to do something like this?

Yes, there is a 510-eGo adapter.

Yes the Vivi Nova is Great and is a good match for the ProVari, size wise.

I believe it takes 2 510-510 adapters to give enough clearance for an eGo skirt.

Mechanical means you have a battery and a switch, no electronics to protect from shorts, prevent accidental activation in a pocket or purse, or to signal when to recharge a battery without running it dead. Everything has its + and -.

We both looked at the same problem and came up with different solutions. I decided to use the Twist because if it falls overboard, gets lost or stolen, or gets broken, it can be replaced for 25 bucks. That's cheap insurance.

Of course you can install a LoJack system on your ProVari. Lol
