Not much happening any more. The "for sale" section is too sparse now that the canadian seller section has united with the rest. Waste of time looking through pages of U.S. sellers that won't sell to Canucks. The Canada forum is about as exciting as watching paint dry, except for a certain lurker of any post I reply to and that just says time to go. Had enough and bored, even the vets don't post as much any more. Too bad, many forums end up with a dead end sooner or later. Ciao everyone, it's been fun!

Cokey, Did you perhaps think of helping out newbies with their questions etc in the New Member Forum? It's strangely gratifying and is always humming. Forums are not just places to "take away" from. It also helps to give back as an almost veteran. :)

Whatever you choose to do, it's been nice sharing a vaping journey with ya.

Happy vaping!!

Sometimes it slows down around here in my limited time.....here. Its all good though, I still enjoy communicating with the vendors and keeping up on new stuff......not quite sure what you are expecting this to be? And if you want to find Canadian listings in the classifieds just use the "search thread" tool and search for CA at the beginning of the classies. thread

I never understood posts like these on forums. If you're done with a forum, leave. If there are people you feel connected with send them a PM saying goodbye.

Telling the whole forum that you're leaving sounds more like a cry for attention so we can all say "HEY DUDE DON'T LEAVE", or like you're angry with the whole forum so you jab at the forum as a whole explaining why they don't feel connected to it anymore.

We're not all sitting on a couch in a basement, there's no reason to explain why you're leaving.

Anyone gonna shoot this guy or should I?
I've bought way more than any one person should on the classifieds. And top notch stuff. And the Canada Forum....There is more character and good people here than a blind fool like you could ever appreciate. I don't believe I've earned the right to speak on behalf of my fellow forum members, but from me personally.... Don't let the door hit you on the ... on your way out!
Really....your post was an insult to all of us.

Settle down boys, we're still all Canadian here. Whatever may have happened to cause Cokey to leave, regardless of whether he was not satisfied here or if he was pressured in some other way, we now have one less Canadian waving the flag on ECF, and that is a loss to all of us.

Yes Dusty, but one lurker has a need to cause repercussions, so I've had enough of nellie. A need to know all and tell all turns me off and I just get sick of the same old crap. Thanks for the reply. This "is" my last. And I think more will do it also.

Sorry to hear you are leaving Cokeybill, one down from Oshawa, Ontario. I am just surprised that the situation you are talking about, has made you make this judgement. Too much Drama. Just ignore and move on. Not all people get along, some will clash, but that is life. Take Care ;)

We're not allowed to attack posters, just their posts. With that said, I do believe his post is an idiot.

I appreciate some of the blunt honesty here, but on the other hand I detect a bit of meanness.

Sometimes I get bored with things that were dear to me, and then I realize that the boredom stems from within, and no one has ever forced me to be with the things I'm now bored with. It's not them, it's me. If I'm ready for a change, no need to blame the those around me that are reflecting that need. They were always there, doing their thing, and that's ok.

Sometimes the things around us dont change as much as we do. It is easy to get board after visiting the same place and same people over and over again! Sometimes a simple break from it all will help! I know from personal experience on ECF, that I had more vigor in the beginning, and then became a bit stale! The issue was not the forum, but me. lets face it, like a relationship, when something is new, it peaks are interest more! Than the excitment disipates over time. One has to find new ways to egnite the SPARK!

I like the idea of helping others on the forum and exploring new ways to enjoy the forum! Also, lets face it...to much of a good thing can be bad! Vaping is great, but finding other forums and points of interest seem to keep my life a bit more balanced! Cokeybill, may just need to take a break and find some other forums and hobbies. I still love ECF, and I believe it is the best forum's out their! Now I'm off the my cycling forum! Lol!

It really wasn't meant as an attack. More of a display of shock. It was such a blatantly insulting post. That and my post was inspired by a couple of bottles of wine. Like encee_rz said.....if you're not happy here, just leave. I was stunned at the OP's need to shoot the site, and the Canada forum down. We are here for the good and benefit of all. Not just ourselves. Dusty said it best. "you're bored, go help someone in need". No way I'd be approaching 3 months and bankruptcy lol ( damn classifieds :) ) without this site. True, it has become my crutch instead of analogs, but somehow it really has become a hobby too, and is still fun for most of us here. ECF and it's members have become a big part of my life. And then to have someone come into our house and start busting it up? Sorry, I've never been the type of guy to take that kind of thing lying down.

Well I guess I just took his comment as stating something he felt and not as an attack. I could see it getting boring from time to time - despite the great community - and if that time comes (I'm sure it will be an ebb and flow) I'll for sure recognize that it's not the forum, but me. You and I, K-man, are very new to this and it's fresh and exciting and we're learning a great deal and meeting new people, so how could it be boring, right? That's not saying anything about the community, it's about the subject matter, the same old posts asking the same old questions. Some people are always happy to give back but some may lose momentum.

It could have been expressed less negatively and I do agree, if you're not interested anymore, just leave, no need to announce anything. There is some resentment in the OP that has nothing to do with ECF.

I think Switcher said it best (in a different post and more than once), every quarter brings a new batch of people. Some will stay, most will go. Does that mean as Veterans we just tell the newbies to go read an older thread?! No!! Ofcourse we encourage folks to research what they need, but we are also here to answer questions and provide support as and when required.

Cokey's opinion is his own, and I'm sure was not meant as an attack on the site or our corner of this forum, although it's easy to see how it can be misconstrued as such.
