I haven't tried using with the 510 connector raised a bit, but as long at the atty pin and the mod pin connect well, it shouldn't be an issue. I seem to recall reading Achilles have longer than average 510 connections, so it could be helpful.

You can unscrew the beauty ring as much as you want, to make it flush with the atty. However, it will leave a small gap between the beauty ring and the mod.

Personally, I would avoid messing with the connecting pin.

It also seems to me that the p3/510 connection is stronger than the every day 510 set up. The p3 on it's own, certainly is.

Do you or any one know if you can back the inner nut out a little so it will snug up to the bottom of my addy or when you install it, does it have to be screwed all the way in. I'm trying to find a way to support the addy so the threads don't suffer again. I might send mine in for a convert if it will work to allow me to use my Achilles as it is my main atty.

I have used these for about 2-1/2 years on different mods. A circle cutter and hole punch makes them pretty easy out of Plastc, tag board, etc...

I was hoping to find a solution that would allow the atty to sit flush with the bottom but that doesn't seem to be feasible so if I can't get the atty down to the bottom, I guess I'll have to bring the bottom up with a spacer. I think I'll spend the short money and get some of the pre-mades at KP.

Thanks folks,

John

I looked and could not find them, what section are they in CCG?
