Gunk narrowing down the chimney of the coil, solution?

I use cCell coils. The problem I have with these coils is that after about 40ml (mostly dark flavored juices), the gunk accumulation narrows the chimney. As a result, the vapor and flavor decreases and I need harder suction. I have a cotton based coil for which the following procedure works well:



But it doesn't do anything for cCell coils. I can scratch the gunk with a small nail or toothpick, which is black (not dark brown, absolutely black), but it seems to damage the ceramic.

My question is, do you have this narrowing down chimney problem with coils other than cCell? And secondly, is there any cleaning procedure for cCell coils?

I just tried it with another coil and now I'm getting the "Atomizer Short" message with this coil. Maybe I messed with the turns of the coil and now they are touching?

Dark ejuice is always going to gunk up coils....all coils. Ceramic coils are very hard to work with and if you have shorted it out then its trash.

40ml is about the max for a throwaway coil. Get used to it...

These types of coils are disposables, they aren't meant to last a long time.
Put in a fresh coil, prime it and enjoy your vape again

The answer to coil gunk / wicking clogging is always the same.
Get used to it or use non goopy gunky e liquids.
If you enjoy goopy gunky liquids & want to continue to use them an RBA of some sort will lessen the costs.

I use clear non sweet 50/50 in everything I vape, I'd be seriously disappointed if all I got in head life was 60ml, typical 80+ml, 100ml isn't unheard of.

The problem is, over the last few years high Vg, 15 to as much as 20 % flavorings, 5% sweetners, 2% flavors enhancers, in some instances even colorants & disolved solids in flavorings have become the norm.

When you have to use mass quantities of gunk causing agents to over come the flattening & muting effects of Vg you get poor head life.
