GunMetal P3 Threads?

Just noticed my Gunmetal p3's threading on the extension tube is sort of dark. Like the coating is actually inside on the threads. Its only like that on the bottom section, and when using it the IQ is affected. Is this normal for the Gunmetal version? Operates fine and I brought the IQ back up some after cleaning an some thread compound. But not as good when I dont use the section in question. Tested with all new batteries and the issue is the same its definitely the section with the coated threads bring down the IQ.

It's probably got some lube on there.

Take some alcohol, preferably 99%, and clean all the threads, then hit it with some No-Ox.

Or just go without lube.

Personally, I prefer DeoxIT, but there is a No-Ox lobby here so...

Stop checking the IQ. See? Problem solved.

I wasn't being serious lol. Honestly, I don't think a gm thread is that valuable, but if another member started one I would post in it.
