Ever heard of the Beatles? They're before your time and a rock band so possibly not.

25 is actually pretty new to earth, relative to some of the geezers on here (me included). ;) I can totally understand why someone who is 25 would have never heard of them.

really? i think that utter B.S.!!! and yea what else was he using?

The debate over whether or not e-cigarettes can be used as an effective smoking cessation device has been raging for years — but according to Guns N’ Roses‘ D.J. Ashba, there ain’t nothing like the real thing.
In fact, Ashba blames his dabbling with electronic cigarettes — which use a vapor delivery mechanism to simulate the smoking experience — with nearly ending his life. The story came out on Instagram (viaBlabbermouth), where a photo Ashba posted of himself holding a cigarette prompted a fan to ask, “I thought you quit the cigs, man?”
Responding that he gave up real cigarettes for nine months, but swapped them out for e-cigarettes that he “bought in a mall in Poland,” Ashba said he ended up learning the hard way that they “contained high doses of nicotine and antifreeze, which kills people.”
Continued Ashba, “Nobody knows this, but I was rushed to the hospital put on heart monitors and I had eight of the best doctors trying to save my life. Poison control confirmed that the nicotine intake that was going into my body from the fake cigarettes was equivalent to smoking 33 packs of cigarettes a day.”
Ashba claims that his ordeal concluded with his doctors advising him to return to real cigarettes “because my body would go into shock if I just stop smoking,” ergo his recent photo with one of the old-fashioned cancer sticks.
It’s kind of an odd story, to say the least, and the majority of the comments on the Blabbermouth story express doubt or disbelief — not only that Ashba found antifreeze-doped e-cigarettes in a Polish mall, but that a doctor would ever recommend smoking.
But hey, anything is possible when you’re in Guns N’ Roses, right?

First off this is Guns n Roses. How are they even still around. Appetite for Destruction was and will always be their only good album. All the hits and catchy tunes can only be found there. And Axl is no bueno. washed up. Even then..

Ashba's story... just a cry for attention. Anything is possible with Guns n Roses...anything except more hit songs. If you can't come up with good singles, forcefully overdose on e-cigs for attention, since overdosing on anything else (again) will be fatal. Let this be a lesson to them and us... the media is a way of achieving free advertisement.

Thanks for the share, had a good laugh with this.

The major hurdle to ecig research will be that most of us were smokers for years and years.

Just because you switched to ecigs doesn't mean all the damage we did to our cells just "disappears". It is harm reduction, not harm eradication.

I mean, I fully realize that I could vape, and still get lung cancer or COPD, based on the # of years I did smoke analogs. And of course,, if I am vaping, some idiot will attribute my illness to vaping.

the problem is that in a long time smoker, there is no way to "pinpoint" when and what damage was done by the analogs.

And by the way, those making comments about Axl's weight. you too, grasshopper, will find that once you hit about 40-45, unless you're willing to eat about 1/2 of what you're used to, or engage in a regular excercize program, MOST of us will experience metabolism slow downs. :)

I eat like a bird now to stay 140 at 5' 8" tall (female). I could very easily be 170-180, if I ate sugar, cake, chips, etc. I used to be a runner, but arthritis and bad knees took care of that.....so now I have to really restrict what I eat to stay slim.

So quit making fun of him. :)

Oh, back to topic, yes, that guns n roses guy is a tool. Of course, he never was what I would consider a *real* good musician anyway, I mean, most serious musicians wouldn't consider him one.
