I've been hearing mixed things about the GUS Kiss Summer Edition v2. I was told I am unable to sub-ohm vape at my prefered 0.1-0.2 ohm builds, UNLESS I order a new Fuse? Is this true? Also, I heard you are unable to use Sony VTC4 18650 batteries. Any help would be amazing!

1. Gus also sells 12A fuses, which are good till 0.3Ω. Or replace the fuse with a brass pin and Bob's your uncle.
2. This is a telescopic mod ~ so any size of battery can be used.

So right out of the package, if I'm wanting to sub-ohm at around .1-.3 ohms, I need to replace the fuse with a brass pin?

I have the 12 amp fuse in. I also have made a little copper pin that I use in place of it. There are other positive pins that work well with the GUS fused cap. If you look at some of the first posts in the very well done Qorax GUS Lord Review you will find some pictorials on it. I am going to be lazy and not link it. You can stop being lazy and search for it :) It should be on the first or second page in the APV section.

I've been interested in a GUS mod for some time now, read all these threads. I just started getting into real sub-ohm vaping a month or so ago, so I never really looked into it back then when I was originally interested in the Gus lord. Now I have ordered the Gus Kiss Summer edition v2, and hearing I gotta replace and modify all this stuff. :p

But I am able to get .2-.3 ohms with the standard 12a fuse it comes with? I'm sure that will be fine till I grab a brass pin.

You should be fine. You also should have ordered the spare fuse kit from Gus Mods, if not then check the Gus Lord thread there are some links to Amazon for the fuses you need.

I moved into Low Sub Ohm vaping for a while. I still keep an atty or two wound low for 2 juices that really shine at super low ohms. Other than that I have moved back up in the .8 to 1.2 ohm range. Juice lasts longer and tastes better to me there. Vapor isn't as huge but I am not trying to win any contests :)

Alright, well, my Gus Kiss will be here any day now, and I'm really starting to fret about the whole fuse situation. I've never had a mechanical with fuses, usually just the brass firing pin. Is there a way I can take my brass firing pin out of a different mechanical and switch it into the GUS Kiss so I can go down to 0.1 ohms? Anywhere I could buy it online? To be honest, I don't even know how one goes about switching the fuse to the 12A fuse, or the brass pin. If I could get any help, I would be extremely grateful.

Here is my old post on it:

LORD Top-Cap Fuse Swap with other Pos Pins

Well many seem to be averse to the "Fuse" in the Gus Top-Cap and enquired whether it could be swapped with Pos Pins from other Mods. Yes absolutely, here's some pics...

Bottomline: Pretty much every mod's Positive Pin/Post (whether Telescopic or Straight Screw) can be put inside the Top-Cap of the Gus-LORD. They all seem to be threaded the same... same dimensions. And length doesn't matter since the Gus-LORd is a telescopic mod. You can thus screw it's bottom-body in to fit any Battery &/or Atty.

I hope that helped.
