Maybe both days are for this?
Could definitely be both days. It's a long appropriations bill, and since it doesn't start until 4 p.m. tomorrow, can't imagine they'd get all the way through it.

UGH,  I'm pretty sure I scrolled right past that BIG box with the "check back" info.

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction!!

Well, I may have missed the first part of the broadcast, unless it just started late. I didn't hear any discussion regarding the attached amendment in the broadcast.

I did catch the part that was recommended to be passed with "exception to amendment".
Can anyone else confirm this? Below is what was released for the meeting today.
Nothing regarding the attached amendment.

Lori, Thank you and Bronze for all this. If that amendment is in there, I'm having a real hard time seeing it. Is there someone who does see what I'm failing to?

That link cannot possibly be the Full Agricultural Budgeting Bill. It is only 4 Pages with minimal documentation.
Is this another Attachment or only a portion of the Bill passed so far?

ETA: The original Bill - Leaving committee - was 100 pages

I don't know, it could be a portion. That's what I'd said a couple days ago, it was a long bill, couldn't imagine they were starting at 4, couldn't imagine they'd get through it all. They meet again on Thurs.
That's why I was hoping someone had caught the first part of the broadcast.

I most definitely heard the part about recommending to be passed "with exception to amendment", but without the first part of the meeting, I'm clueless.

Surely someone else listened. :nun:

here is some of the Reading from the Committee:

The FDA regulates over 20 percent of every consumer
dollar spent on products in the U.S., and so the Subcommittee re-
minded the FDA to be aware of the comprehensive economic impact
of their regulatory decisions.

I'd still like to hear confirmation on this from someone else who might have heard it...
Like I stated about, I know what I heard, but there was no context, just "with exemption to amendment".

I don't know if the entire meeting was broadcast, or only the closing summary regarding the appropriations bill.

At some point, they should post the actual "mark up". If they still do that.
I'd found one at one point that had their penciled in notes, and x's through things, from year's past appropriations bills mark ups.
I think that's got to be part of the "legal" record of proceedings...maybe someone else knows.

That's why I came asking if anyone else listened.
Four ears are better than two...and my two only caught the last half of it. :(

I see nothing listed in the press release regarding the amendment...in, or out.
But it's certainly not listed...

Hoping they are only looking at possible budget inclusions and Waste trimming. The Cole Bishop Amendment has no negative Budgetary effect on the agricultural bill :D

I have sent an email to my Florida rep asking if he is going to support the small vaping businesses like he is supporting the small business cigar industry.

I will let you know what he says. I also told him I have many family and friends that support me in my effort to stay off cigarettes. They also vote.
I also told him that there is a bill that I would love for him to get on board with and co-sign. HR2058.
Rubio sent me an interim, Nelson ignored me again and Grayson is probably to busy eating a cow to answer. Maybe someday I will get a response.
