So, I'm really liking that ViVi Nova tank. Does anyone know if you can change out the mouthpiece on the bugger? If I were to get it, I'd want to use it with one of the pipe bowls from somewhere like epipemods.com (good lord, those are beyond gorgeous) and a pipe stem mouthpiece, I think. That site has some really lovely lucite ones I'd like to try. Do y'all think that sort of thing would be compatible with the ViVi Nova?

EDIT: Thanks for the e-liquid pricing info. That helps me a lot. :)
Welcome to the ECF..

As long as it uses a 510 drip tip then I'd assume the pipe stem would fit. Most of your custom mods and E-pipes don't use standard connectors as they are hand made, and do look really, really good if you ask me. I've always leaned towards a wooden mod though so kind of bias on that.
As for the e-liquid and getting a true "Tobacco" flavor then you prob. won't find one. Typically when any organic material is "Burned" then it will add a unique bitterness to the taste. Tobacco is naturally semi-sweet, I only know this from when I used a tobacco vaporizer once and the taste was nothing like a pipe or cig. The Flue Cured will prob. come as close as you want to find, or RYW4 as well captures it pretty well but def. not spot on. I'd say with the mutitude of flavors out there your more then likely going to find one that fits, or several for that matter.

Again, welcome to the ECF, people here are really awesome and will help you out...just feel free to ask.

Heh! When I told my grandmother that I'd like to smoke a pipe years ago BEFORE I even smoked analogs, she basically related that it was evil, low class, and akin to a woman dipping! When I told my husband, he laughed and mentioned me sitting on the porch aka Granny from the Beverly Hillbillies! :glare: Neither responses appealed to me at the time, but the idea of a pipe still appeals to me. I think now is the time to bring that old secret wish to fruition

Hah! I've always been fascinated with pipes too; hence why I started smoking one instead of cigarettes. It is funny how women get a lot more flak for it than men do. I remember my grandmother's reaction to my pipe was basically the same as your grandmother's reaction. My mom was just horrified that I smoked at all...I don't think she really cared that it was pipe. To her it was a face-eating goblin no matter what. I can't wait to show her an e-pipe, I really think she'll like it. She doesn't smoke, so I won't be converting her, but I think she'll like it nonetheless. :D

Unf...This is the one I REALLY want. Sadly, I don't have $200 laying around. (Plus extra for all the other setup stuff...)
Why wasn't I born independantly wealthy?!

This one is also really pretty, and somewhat more affordable.

Hello Wyniverrn, I smoked a pipe (heavily) for forty years plus and packed it in more or less as soon as I tried vaping, I find I need nic 24mg to replace my baccy however I live in England and the choices over here seem much more limited that the US and the nearest bricks n mortar outlet is over a 100 miles from where I live, so I am having to try everything by mail, so if you find anything that is near hand in replacing your pipe hit let us know, cheers

If you're looking for simple and affordable, check out the Kuwako. It's a simple device that fits on an eGo style battery and converts any such battery to an e-pipe. The Kuwako works best with automatic batteries but can use manuals with a little effort.

Huh, that's a cool idea. Bummer those autos were pulled from dv, as that would make a nice pairing. I'll probably get one of those Kuwakos anyway.

I heard DV was having problems with their eGo autos. I bought 2 and so far so good.

The problem with manual batteries on the Kuwako, specifically long batteries, is that it's awkward to reach the button in the natural way that most people hold a pipe. The 650mah eGo manual is short enough to reach the button for most people. Anything bigger than 650 and it just isn't comfortable.

The best auto battery (most people's opinion) is the Echo which is sold by many vendors. Also, the Echo dual-coil carto is an excellent carto. A complete Echo kit costs about $45, the Kuwako about $13, some juice, some shipping, and you're ready to go for under $100.

One thing worth mentioning is that the Echo auto is 808 threaded, which is fine. But for those like myself with a large collection of 510 threaded hardware, it doesn't blend in to the routine very well.

All that being said, I love my Kuwako. It feels natural and doesn't attract attention in public like some devices do.

Cool, thanks for the info. I have 3 650 egos and large hands, so that setup might be great for me.

Vapor Alchemy has their new pipe kit for $100 ... The Prestige. Comes with everything you need to get started.

Thanks for sharing. Hadn't seen it. That is one classy looking epipe. Unlike some epipes, the Prestige does not use proprietary components. 18350 battery and 510 tank cartos. Those are available everywhere.

I can tell you as a physician with an interest in treating addiction you will definitely find it easier to transition to an e-pipe rather than e cigarettes. Currently your brain is associating pleasurable sensations with the feel, sight, smell of a pipe, not cigarettes. Therefore you will find that smoking e cigarettes won't really satisfy that urge. But an e-pipe will substitute that habit well. Good luck

Now, a few weeks ago I would have totally agreed with you and when I moved from a pipe to vaping I thought I would need to find a 'pipe' substitute however I have found myself quite content with the set up I have, mind you it resembles a pipe stem, large battery and a megacart 'stem;

The pipes at epipemods are either 18350 or 18500 (a couple with 18650) and have 510 and ego threading. I think most e pipes are getting away from proprietary stuff. Limits their market.

Hey everybody! I'm still drooling over pipes. I don't really like the look of the kuwako, but that kit from Vapor Alchemy looks lovely. And much more affordable than the epipemods one (although I still want that).

But guess what? My mom bought me an early Xmas present...A Riva-T kit. It's very nice, and is letting me get used to tank atomizers while I save up for a lovely, lovely pipe set. The Riva-T isn't the same as a pipe, and it's not quelling the urge to smoke a bowl, but it is something. Yesterday I was given it in the morning, and carried it around all day, and guess what? I only smoked two bowls in the evening, as opposed to my usual five bowls on a day like yesterday.

It's a small success, and I did smoke more than usual once I got home, but it's still better overall. I'm sure that once I pick up something that "feels" more like a pipe, I'll be able to kick the habit entirely.
